Summary
Let your AI work with Aircall: look up calls, recordings and voicemails, read AI transcripts, summaries and sentiment, see who is available, add notes and tags to calls, manage shared contacts and start calls from an agent's Aircall Workspace.

Aircall + ChatGPT
Let your AI work with Aircall: look up calls, recordings and voicemails, read AI transcripts, summaries and sentiment, see who is available, add notes and tags to calls, manage shared contacts and start calls from an agent's Aircall Workspace.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
AIRCALL_API_ID, AIRCALL_API_TOKEN
Step 1 — Get credentials
- Sign in to the Aircall Dashboard at
https://dashboard.aircall.ioas an admin. - Open Integrations & API → API Keys and click Generate an API key (in older dashboards: Company settings → API Keys). Give the key a name.
- Copy the API ID into
AIRCALL_API_IDand the API token intoAIRCALL_API_TOKEN, then install the connector. Aircall shows the token only once; if you lose it, create a new key. - Check the setup with
aircall_ping, thenaircall_get_company: it shows your company name and how many users and numbers it has.
Who sees what: the key acts for the whole Aircall company, with every call, recording and shared contact. Share the MCP server only with people allowed to see all of them. Calls, contacts, recordings, voicemails, transcripts and AI summaries are personal data of callers and agents, so the AI reads only what you ask for. Recording and voicemail links play for anyone who has them (direct links for 1 hour, short links for 3 hours).
Rings a real phone, so the AI asks first: aircall_start_outbound_call starts a call from an agent's Aircall Workspace (the desktop app) at once, and outbound minutes may cost money. The AI shows you who calls whom from which line and waits for your yes. The agent must be online, available, not on a call and assigned to the number. aircall_dial_number only puts the number into the agent's dialer, and the agent starts the call.
Changes your agents see, also after your yes: aircall_comment_call adds a note to a call (at most five per call; notes cannot be edited or deleted), aircall_tag_call adds existing tags from aircall_list_tags, aircall_archive_call marks a call as archived, and aircall_create_contact and aircall_update_contact create or change shared contacts. Before creating a contact the AI checks with aircall_search_contacts, because the same data sent twice makes a duplicate.
Switched off at install: aircall_delete_contact, which deletes a shared contact for the whole company and cannot be undone. An administrator turns it on deliberately; the AI then shows you the contact and deletes it only after you confirm.
AI transcripts and summaries need the Aircall AI add-on (AI Assist or AI Assist Pro): aircall_get_call_transcription, aircall_get_call_summary, aircall_get_call_sentiments, aircall_get_call_topics and aircall_get_call_action_items work on ended calls. Without the add-on they answer 403 or 404, and a 404 can also mean that the call has no transcript.
How to work: aircall_list_calls lists the calls of a time range, aircall_search_calls filters by direction, user, phone number or tag, and aircall_get_call reads one call with its recording and voicemail links. Times are UNIX timestamps in seconds; only the last six months are available, at most 10,000 calls per query, so the AI narrows the range. Who is free right now: aircall_list_user_availabilities. Lines and teams: aircall_list_numbers and aircall_list_teams. Contacts are the shared Aircall contacts only, not the ones synced from a CRM.
Rate limit: Aircall allows 120 requests per minute for the whole company, shared by every integration that uses its keys. A 429 means waiting until the minute is over.
Common errors: 403 on every tool: the API ID or token is wrong, swapped or the key was deleted. 404: the call does not exist or is older than six months, or there is no AI insight for it. 405 when starting or dialing a call: the agent is not available, is on a call or is not assigned to the number. 400 on a note: the call already has five notes.
The connector does not cover SMS and WhatsApp messages, transferring live calls, pausing or deleting recordings, outbound campaigns, or managing users, teams, numbers, tags and webhooks (aircall_list_webhooks only reads them).
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in ChatGPT
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
ChatGPT adds MCP servers as plugins on its Plugins page, on the web and on paid plans. Developer mode is no longer needed. In a Business workspace only admins and owners can add one; in Enterprise and Edu an admin can grant the Create plugins with MCPs permission.
- Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, click +, then Add custom MCP server.
- Enter a name, e.g. Name:
Aircall. - Under Connection, enter the Server URL
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_IDand keep Authentication on OAuth. - Select I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin. When ChatGPT asks, sign in to AnythingMCP and allow access.
- Install the new plugin from your personal plugins, then type @ in a chat and pick it.
