How to Connect AliExpress Dropshipping to Cursor via MCP

AliExpress Dropshipping + Cursor

Let your AI source AliExpress products for your store: search with your dropshipper prices, product and SKU details, delivery options and cost, order status and tracking, with order placement available on request.

Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

Step 1 — Get credentials

Setting up takes about 20 minutes, plus AliExpress's review of your developer profile and app category.

1. Sign in to AliExpress with a buyer account (not a seller account) and accept the Dropshipping Program agreement in the DS Center at https://ds.aliexpress.com.
2. At https://openservice.aliexpress.com click Create Account (or sign in), open your profile and choose the developer type Dropshipping (individual) or Dropshipping (corporation). AliExpress reviews the profile.
3. In the App Console click Create, apply for the Dropshipping app category, then create the app with a callback URL of yours (https). One Open Platform account cannot hold both a Dropshipping and an Affiliate app, so the AliExpress Affiliate connector needs a separate account.
4. On the app's overview page copy the App Key into ALIEXPRESS_DS_APP_KEY and the App Secret (click View) into ALIEXPRESS_DS_APP_SECRET.
5. Open the API test tool at https://openservice.aliexpress.com/app/index.htm#/api/test, pick your app, click Get Token and sign in with the dropshipper buyer account. Copy the access_token into ALIEXPRESS_DS_ACCESS_TOKEN.
6. While the app is in test status its tokens last about a day: click Apply Online in the console. Tokens of an online dropshipping app typically last 30 days; the console's Auth Management page shows how long.
7. Install the connector and run aliexpress_dropshipping_get_member_benefits to check the token.

Token expiry: AnythingMCP does not renew the access token. When it expires, every call fails with an authentication error: get a new token as in step 5 and paste it into ALIEXPRESS_DS_ACCESS_TOKEN. AliExpress asks for a new sign-in periodically anyway, at the latest about 60 days after authorizing.

Signed requests: every call carries the access token and an HMAC-SHA256 signature made with the App Secret, which never leaves AnythingMCP. A timestamp more than two hours off is refused.

Sourcing: the AI searches products by keyword and category, with prices for the destination country in your currency, and reads one product at the prices of your dropshipper account: description, images, store and every SKU with its sku_attr, price and stock. For a SKU, a quantity and a country it lists the delivery options with cost, delivery time, whether tracking is included and the logistics_service_name an order needs. It also reads the dropshipper benefits of your account.

After ordering: the AI reads an order by its AliExpress order id (status, amounts, products, logistics status) and its tracking: carrier, tracking number, estimated arrival and events.

Switched off at install: aliexpress_dropshipping_create_order. It places an order on AliExpress with your customer's address and the items. Turn it on in the connector's tools only when the AI may place orders, and confirm each order. Orders are created unpaid: you pay them on AliExpress.

Formats: prices are decimal strings in the requested currency; product, SKU and order ids are long numbers, kept as text. Countries are two-letter codes. Tracking times are Unix milliseconds. Searches return pages of up to 50 products.

Common errors: an access token code means the token expired or belongs to another app; InvalidAppKey or IncompleteSignature means the App Key and App Secret do not match; InsufficientPermission means the app lacks the API, so check its app category; call-limit codes mean the quota is used up. When ordering, an address AliExpress cannot validate gives B_DROPSHIPPER_DELIVERY_ADDRESS_VALIDATE_FAIL.

Step 2 — Install the adapter

Step 3 — Add the connector in Cursor

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

1. Create an MCP API key in AnythingMCP under MCP Servers → your server → API keys, and paste it in place of YOUR_MCP_API_KEY.
2. Save the file and restart Cursor.
3. Open Cursor → Settings → MCP and check that anythingmcp is listed and connected.
4. Start chatting: the agent can now call the AliExpress Dropshipping tools.
