Bzzoiro Sports Data + Microsoft Copilot
Football data from Bzzoiro Sports Data: leagues, standings and leaderboards, fixtures and live scores, lineups, goals and match statistics, teams, squads and form, players and their match stats, managers, TV broadcasts and a model-based match outlook. Free API token.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
BZZOIRO_API_KEY
Step 1 — Get credentials
Setting up takes about 2 minutes. You need a free Bzzoiro Sports Data account: football needs no paid plan.
- Register for free at sports.bzzoiro.com/register and copy the API token from your account page.
- Paste it into
BZZOIRO_API_KEY. Paste only the token, without the wordTokenin front: the connector sends it asAuthorization: Token <key>on its own. - Install the connector and run
bzzoiro_list_leaguesto check the connection.
Cloud and self-hosted work the same way: the connector only needs your token.
Free within limits: football is free within Bzzoiro's published limits: 7,500 requests a day per account, reset at midnight UTC, plus a burst limit of about 25 requests a second.
Live scores: bzzoiro_list_live_matches covers matches from five minutes before kick-off until shortly after the final whistle. Bzzoiro refreshes it about every 30 seconds; do not poll more often than every 10 seconds.
Lineups: they are confirmed about an hour before kick-off. Before that, lineup_status shows that they are projected by Bzzoiro's model.
Ids: leagues, seasons, teams, matches (called events in the API), players and managers have integer ids. The AI looks them up with bzzoiro_list_leagues, bzzoiro_list_league_seasons, bzzoiro_list_teams, bzzoiro_list_players and bzzoiro_list_managers; match ids come from bzzoiro_list_matches, bzzoiro_list_live_matches and bzzoiro_list_team_fixtures.
Times and paging: all times are UTC (ISO 8601), so convert a kick-off time before quoting it. Date filters take YYYY-MM-DD or a full timestamp. Lists page with limit (up to 200) and offset. Without dates, bzzoiro_list_team_fixtures and bzzoiro_list_broadcasts cover three hours ago to seven days ahead.
Match outlook: bzzoiro_get_match_outlook returns Bzzoiro's model-based outlook for a match, for example for a match preview. It is a statistical estimate, never a certainty.
Common errors: 401 means Bzzoiro refused the token: copy it again from your account and paste only the token. 403 means the token's plan does not include the resource: football is free, other sports need a paid plan. 429 with taster_exhausted means the day's quota is used up; with rate_limited, slow down for a second. 400 means an unknown filter: Bzzoiro refuses it rather than ignoring it.
Football only: Bzzoiro's other sports are not part of this connector. Data can be late or incomplete; check it before relying on it.
What it reads: leagues and cups with their seasons and stages; league tables and leaderboards for goals, assists, yellow and red cards and fouls; fixtures and results with kick-off, status, score, round and stage; live matches with score and minute; for each match, lineups and formations, goals with scorer and assist, cards, substitutions and VAR decisions, team statistics including xG, per-player statistics and the head-to-head record; teams with their squad, injuries and expected returns, and their form over recent matches; player profiles and match-by-match statistics; managers with their record and tactical profile; the TV channels that show a match; and Bzzoiro's model-based outlook for a match.
Read-only: every tool only reads, so there is nothing to confirm and no tool is switched off at install.
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in Microsoft Copilot
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Microsoft Copilot uses MCP servers through agents built in Copilot Studio: you add AnythingMCP to an agent as a tool, then publish the agent to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams. Copilot Studio connects from Microsoft's cloud over Streamable HTTP, which AnythingMCP supports.
- In Copilot Studio, open your agent (or create one), go to Tools and choose Add a tool → New tool → Model Context Protocol.
- Enter a Server name (for example
AnythingMCP), a Server description that says what the connector does, and the Server URLhttps://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID. Copilot Studio uses the description to decide when to call the server. - Under authentication, choose API key, set Type to Header and the header name to
X-API-Key, then select Create. - In Add tool, choose Create a new connection, paste an MCP API key from AnythingMCP (MCP Servers → your server → API keys) and select Add to agent.
- Try it in the agent's Test pane: ask for something that needs the
Bzzoiro Sports Datatools. - Select Publish, then Channels → Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, keep Make agent available in Microsoft Copilot selected and choose Add channel. See agent in Teams installs it for you; in Microsoft 365 Copilot, type @ and pick the agent.
Prefer per-user sign-in? Choose OAuth 2.0 → Dynamic discovery instead of an API key: each user then signs in to AnythingMCP the first time the agent calls it.
Self-hosting? Use your instance's public HTTPS address instead of https://cloud.anythingmcp.com. Copilot Studio connects from Microsoft's cloud, so localhost does not work.

FAQ
Which Copilot is this for? Microsoft 365 Copilot at work, through agents built in Copilot Studio. The Microsoft Copilot app for personal accounts has no option to add your own MCP server.
What do I need? A work account with access to Copilot Studio (a license or a trial) to build the agent. People who use it in Microsoft 365 Copilot or Teams need access to the agent: share it with them, or ask an admin to publish it to the organization. If your organization applies data policies to Power Platform connectors, they cover MCP servers too.
The agent doesn't call the tools. Check that the header name is exactly X-API-Key and that the key belongs to the same MCP server as the URL, and make the server description specific: Copilot Studio uses it to decide when to call the server. Publish the agent again after each change; in an open chat, type "start over" to get the new version.
