CAS genesisWorld + Cursor
CAS genesisWorld — the CRM of roughly 30,000 German Mittelstand companies. Read and search addresses, contacts, opportunities, appointments, tasks and documents over the genesisWorld Web REST API. Basic auth against your own application server.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
CAS_URL, CAS_USERNAME, CAS_PASSWORD
Step 1 — Get credentials
Getting access
- The REST API ships with the genesisWorld Web component. Ask your CAS partner or administrator to confirm it is installed and that the
/apiroute is published — it is not on by default in every deployment. - Create a genesisWorld user for the integration and give it exactly the record rights the agent should have. genesisWorld enforces record-level rights, so a restricted user simply sees fewer rows rather than getting an error.
- Set
CAS_URLto the genesisWorld Web base URL (no trailing slash), plusCAS_USERNAMEandCAS_PASSWORD.
…(continued in the in-app connector instructions)
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in Cursor
Cursor reads MCP servers from ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Add this entry:
{
"mcpServers": {
"anythingmcp": {
"url": "https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_MCP_API_KEY" }
}
}
}
- Get your MCP API key from AnythingMCP → Profile → MCP API Keys → New Key.
- Save the file and restart Cursor.
- Open Cursor → Settings → MCP to verify
CAS genesisWorldis listed and "Connected". - Start chatting — all
CAS genesisWorldtools are now invokable.
