How to Connect Etsy to Gemini — via MCP

Run an Etsy shop from any AI agent: create draft listings, edit and publish them, add photos, set price and stock, add tracking to orders, and read listings, orders, receipts and reviews. OAuth2 with automatic refresh-token rotation + x-api-key dual auth.

Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

ETSY_CLIENT_ID, ETSY_CLIENT_SECRET

Step 1 — Get credentials

You authorize it once, in AnythingMCP; from then on the short-lived access token (1 hour) is renewed automatically, and the refresh token Etsy replaces on every renewal is stored for you.

Setup:

1. Register an app at https://www.etsy.com/developers/your-apps → Create New App.
2. In the app's settings, add this callback URL: https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/api/mcp-oauth/callback on AnythingMCP Cloud, or <your AnythingMCP server URL>/api/mcp-oauth/callback when you host AnythingMCP yourself. Etsy compares it character for character (https, upper/lower case, no trailing slash).

Step 2 — Install the adapter

Step 3 — Add the connector in Gemini

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

Gemini CLI reads MCP servers from ~/.gemini/settings.json (or %APPDATA%\gemini\settings.json on Windows). Add:

1. Get your MCP API key from AnythingMCP → MCP Servers → your server → API keys.
2. Save the file and restart gemini.
3. Run /mcp inside the Gemini CLI — Etsy should be listed as available.
4. Vertex AI Studio: pass https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID to the tools array of your request with the same X-API-Key header.
