How to Connect Gumroad to Claude via MCP

Gumroad + Claude

Let your AI read your Gumroad store: products, sales with filters, membership subscribers, offer codes, checkout fields, license keys and webhooks. It can publish or unpublish a product and create an offer code after you confirm. Refunds are switched off. Access token from your Gumroad application.

Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

Step 1 — Get credentials

Setting up takes about 3 minutes and needs nothing but your Gumroad account.

1. Sign in to Gumroad and open Settings → Advanced → Applications.
2. Create an application: any name, and any https address as the redirect URI (the connector does not use it). Click Create application.
3. On the new application, click Generate access token and copy the token into GUMROAD_ACCESS_TOKEN, without the word Bearer.
4. Install the connector and run gumroad_get_user: it shows the account the token belongs to.

Keep the token private: a Gumroad token carries every permission Gumroad offers, including refunds, and anyone who has it can manage your store. The connector only uses what its tools need. To revoke access, delete the application or generate a new token.

What it reads: your products with price, currency, published state, membership details, tags, sales count and revenue; one product with its description, variants and options; sales, newest first, filtered by date, product, buyer e-mail, buyer name, order id or license key, each with price, Gumroad fee, quantity, variants, offer code, refund and dispute state; the subscribers of a membership with status (active, pending cancellation, failed payment, cancelled) and their dates; offer codes and how often each was used; the custom fields a product asks for at checkout; license keys; and the webhooks set up for your account.

Revenue over a period: Gumroad returns 10 sales per page, so for a month or a year the AI pages through every sale and adds them up, and tells you how many sales it counted. Amounts come in cents of the product's currency, and dates in UTC.

License checks don't use up activations: gumroad_verify_license tells you whether a key is valid for a product, how often it was used and which purchase it belongs to, without counting a use (unless you ask it to). A 404 means the key is unknown for that product, disabled, or its purchase lost access.

Asks before every change: gumroad_enable_product puts a product on sale at once, gumroad_disable_product takes it off sale (existing buyers keep their access), and gumroad_create_offer_code creates a discount code customers can use right away. Before each one the AI shows you the product, or the code with its discount and limits, and waits for your yes.

Switched off at install: gumroad_refund_sale. Refunds send money back to the buyer and cannot be undone. An administrator turns it on deliberately; the AI then shows you the sale, the buyer and the amount and refunds only after you confirm. No tool deletes products, offer codes or custom fields.

Customer data: sales and subscribers include buyers' e-mail addresses, names and license keys. The AI reads only what your question needs and does not copy it anywhere else.

Common errors: 401 means the token is wrong or the application was deleted; generate a new token. "Not found" means Gumroad does not know that product, sale or subscriber id.

The connector does not create, edit or delete products, variants or files, mark sales as shipped, revoke access, resend receipts, handle payouts or tax forms, send e-mails or run workflows, or create and delete webhooks.

Step 2 — Install the adapter

Step 3 — Add the connector in Claude

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

Recommended path: works on claude.ai web without editing any config file.

1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
2. Click +, then Add custom connector.
3. Enter a name, e.g. Gumroad, and the remote MCP server URL https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID, then click Add.
4. Click Connect and sign in to AnythingMCP (OAuth) to allow access.
