Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

JTL_WAWI_URL, JTL_WAWI_API_KEY, JTL_WAWI_APP_ID, JTL_WAWI_APP_VERSION

Step 1 — Get credentials

JTL-Wawi is on-premises Windows software and does not speak HTTP on its own. The REST API is served by the separate JTL API Server (sometimes called the Wawi API / JTL-Wawi API), which you install alongside the Wawi database.

  1. Install the JTL API Server on the machine that reaches your JTL-Wawi MSSQL database, and start its service.
  2. Register an app: in JTL-Wawi open Admin → App registration and start the registration, then send POST /api/eazybusiness/authentication with the app's details (AppId, DisplayName, Description, Version, ProviderName, ProviderWebsite, MandatoryApiScopes) and an x-challengecode header. …

Step 2 — Install the adapter

Step 3 — Add the connector in Gemini

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

Gemini CLI reads MCP servers from ~/.gemini/settings.json (or %APPDATA%\gemini\settings.json on Windows). Add:

  1. Get your MCP API key from AnythingMCP → MCP Servers → your server → API keys.
  2. Save the file and restart gemini.
  3. Run /mcp inside the Gemini CLI — JTL-Wawi should be listed as available.
