How to Connect Kittl to ChatGPT via MCP

Kittl + ChatGPT

Create designs in Kittl from Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot through Kittl's official MCP server: generate images and videos, run Kittl AI workflows for ads, product shots and packaging, build brand kits from a website, render mockups, remove backgrounds, upscale and vectorize, and work with the Kittl workspace.

Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

Step 1 — Sign in with Kittl

Setting up takes about 2 minutes. You need a Kittl account; any plan works, including the free one. Connecting costs nothing, while generations and image edits use the Kittl credits of your plan.

Kittl runs its own official remote MCP server at https://mcp.kittl.com/mcp. This connector bridges it: the tools are Kittl's, and AnythingMCP puts them behind your MCP endpoint with OAuth for Claude and ChatGPT, per-tool roles and the audit log.

1. Install the connector. There is nothing to paste: no API key, client ID or secret.
2. On the connector page click Authorize with Provider. AnythingMCP registers itself with Kittl and sends you to the Kittl sign-in. There is no redirect URI to set up.
3. Sign in with your Kittl account and approve access. Back in AnythingMCP the tool list is reloaded from Kittl's server, including the workspace tools for projects, folders, brand kits, team and credit balance. Kittl adds tools over time: Discover tools on the connector picks up new ones.
4. To check it works, run kittl_list_ai_workflow_presets. It is free and lists Kittl's ready-made AI workflows with the inputs each one needs.

Whose account it is: the person who signs in is the Kittl user for everyone who uses this connector. Everything the AI makes is saved in that user's Kittl workspace and paid from that account's credits. For a shared connector, decide whose account it is before you authorize; a team account is usually the right choice. To cut access, delete the connector or its authorization in AnythingMCP.

What it makes: images, and short videos from a prompt or a still, with the image and video models Kittl offers (kittl_generate_media); Kittl's AI workflows for ads, product shots, thumbnails and packaging (kittl_run_ai_workflow); brand kits with the logo, colours and fonts read from a website (kittl_create_brand_kit_from_url); mockups on t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, posters and packaging (kittl_render_mockup); and cut-outs, print upscales and vector (SVG) versions of an image (kittl_remove_image_background, kittl_upscale_image, kittl_vectorize_image).

Working with it: results come back as links or images and are also saved in Kittl, so you find them in your workspace later. For on-brand work the AI creates or picks a brand kit first and passes it to the workflow, and it reads the workflow list before it runs one. Images you want edited must be reachable by Kittl: a public URL or a file in your Kittl library.

Asks before every change: kittl_run_ai_workflow, kittl_generate_media, kittl_render_mockup, kittl_remove_image_background, kittl_upscale_image and kittl_vectorize_image spend the same Kittl credits as the Kittl editor, and video costs more than images. kittl_create_brand_kit_from_url creates a new brand kit. Before each of them the AI tells you what will run (tool, model or workflow, number of results) and waits for your yes. It never starts several generations in a loop without asking.

Switched off at install: nothing. Every tool is on, and the ones that spend credits or create something ask you first.

Limits: what you can make depends on your Kittl plan and the credits left on it. Before a large batch the AI checks your remaining credits, when Kittl's server offers that tool.

Common errors: the argument schemas come from Kittl's server once you have authorized, so a tool without arguments means the sign-in is still missing. When calls fail with an authorization error after it worked, click Authorize with Provider again.

The connector does not read files from your computer, does not work outside the Kittl account that signed in, and does not make images of real people without their consent or content that breaks Kittl's terms.

Step 2 — Install the adapter

Step 3 — Add the connector in ChatGPT

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

ChatGPT adds MCP servers as plugins on its Plugins page, on the web and on paid plans. Developer mode is no longer needed. In a Business workspace only admins and owners can add one; in Enterprise and Edu an admin can grant the Create plugins with MCPs permission.

1. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, click +, then Add custom MCP server.
2. Enter a name, e.g. Name: Kittl.
3. Under Connection, enter the Server URL https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID and keep Authentication on OAuth.
4. Select I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin. When ChatGPT asks, sign in to AnythingMCP and allow access.
5. Install the new plugin from your personal plugins, then type @ in a chat and pick it.
