How to Connect Lodgify to Cursor via MCP

Lodgify + Cursor

Vacation rental management in Lodgify: properties and room types, availability calendars, nightly rates and quotes, bookings and enquiries, guest message threads, check-in and check-out, key codes and booking status changes. Works with the account's Public API key.

Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

LODGIFY_API_KEY

Step 1 — Get credentials

Setting up takes about 2 minutes. You need the Lodgify account owner, because only the owner can see the API key.

1. In Lodgify (https://app.lodgify.com) open Settings > Public API and copy the API key.
2. Paste it into LODGIFY_API_KEY. It is sent in the X-ApiKey header.
3. Install the connector and run lodgify_list_properties to check the key.

The key gives full access to the account: everyone who uses this connector works on every property, booking and guest thread of the account.

What it reads:

• Properties and room types: lodgify_list_properties, lodgify_get_property, lodgify_list_property_rooms (the room type ids needed for rates, availability, quotes and bookings), lodgify_get_room, properties deleted since a date, and the add-ons and payment options of a property.
• Availability: the calendar of the whole account, of one property or of one room type for a period, optionally with the bookings and closed periods that block the dates.
• Prices: nightly rates and minimum stay per day (lodgify_get_rates_calendar), rate settings (taxes, fees, deposit, cancellation rules, price per additional guest) and lodgify_get_quote, the total of a possible stay with room rate, fees, taxes, add-ons and promotion code.
• Bookings: lodgify_list_bookings with stay_filter Upcoming, Current, Historic, All, or ArrivalDate and DepartureDate together with stay_filter_date (for example today's arrivals); lodgify_get_booking with guest, rooms, totals, amount paid and due, notes, key codes and the message thread; linked channel bookings (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, ...); the booking quote and the guest payment link.
• Inbox: lodgify_list_inbox (bookings and enquiries together, newest first), lodgify_count_unread, lodgify_get_enquiry and lodgify_get_thread with the thread_uid of a booking or enquiry.

What it writes:

• New booking: the AI checks lodgify_get_room_type_availability and lodgify_get_quote, then calls lodgify_create_booking. Lodgify ignores the status there, so the AI then confirms the booking with lodgify_set_booking_booked or holds the dates with lodgify_set_booking_tentative. With from_enquiry_id an existing enquiry becomes the booking.
• Status changes: lodgify_decline_booking (the dates become free again) and lodgify_reopen_booking (back to Open; a Booked booking frees its dates).
• Arrival and departure: lodgify_update_key_codes sets the door or lockbox codes shown to the guest; lodgify_check_in_booking and lodgify_check_out_booking record arrival and departure times.
• Messages: lodgify_add_booking_messages and lodgify_add_enquiry_messages add to a thread; type Comment stores an internal note the guest does not see. lodgify_mark_booking_replied and lodgify_mark_booking_not_replied file the thread in the inbox.

Email to guests: messages with send_notification: true, lodgify_request_payment and request_payment: true on a status change send an email to the guest. The AI shows you the text and waits for your yes before sending.

Switched off at install: no tool. The connector has no delete tool, and a declined booking can be reopened with lodgify_reopen_booking.

Data formats: property, room type and booking ids are integers; a message thread is a GUID (thread_uid). Dates are YYYY-MM-DD; check-in and check-out times are HH:mm:ss in the property's time zone; change dates are ISO 8601. Amounts are in the property currency (currency_code), in major units (120.5 = 120.50). Booking status is Open (a request), Tentative, Booked or Declined; source names the channel (Manual, AirbnbIntegration, BookingCom, ...).

Paging: v2 lists take page (from 1) and size (default 50); with include_count: true the total comes back in count. lodgify_list_inbox uses offset and limit and returns total.

Common errors: 401 or 403 means a missing or wrong API key, 404 an unknown id, 400 invalid dates or parameters (the response body says which). 429 is the rate limit: the AI waits and retries.

The connector does not change rates or availability, does not create payment links, does not manage webhooks and does not move bookings to the trash.

Step 2 — Install the adapter

Step 3 — Add the connector in Cursor

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

Cursor reads MCP servers from ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Add this entry:

1. Create an MCP API key in AnythingMCP under MCP Servers → your server → API keys, and paste it in place of YOUR_MCP_API_KEY.
2. Save the file and restart Cursor.
3. Open Cursor → Settings → MCP and check that anythingmcp is listed and connected.
4. Start chatting: the agent can now call the Lodgify tools.
