Mintlify + Cursor

Trigger Mintlify documentation updates, query analytics, and manage assistant queries via the Mintlify API. 5 tools, Bearer-token auth.

Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

MINTLIFY_API_KEY

Step 1 — Get credentials

com/docs/api-reference).

Setup:

  1. Sign in to https://dashboard.mintlify.comSettings → API Keys → Create API key.
  2. Copy the key (starts with mint_). Set MINTLIFY_API_KEY.

Authentication: Authorization: Bearer ${MINTLIFY_API_KEY}.

Mintlify's API is scoped: most write operations (trigger update, manage content) are not exposed because Mintlify expects content to live in a git repo and update on push. The API focuses on:

  • Triggering re-deploys
  • Querying assistant (chat) interactions
  • Pulling analytics / search data

Out of scope here: page/content CRUD (manage via the git repo), team management, OAuth user actions.

Step 2 — Install the adapter

git clone https://github.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp.git
cd anythingmcp && docker compose up -d

Step 3 — Add the connector in Cursor

Cursor reads MCP servers from ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Add this entry:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "anythingmcp": {
      "url": "https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_MCP_API_KEY" }
    }
  }
}
  1. Get your MCP API key from AnythingMCP → Profile → MCP API Keys → New Key.
  2. Save the file and restart Cursor.
  3. Open Cursor → Settings → MCP to verify Mintlify is listed and "Connected".
  4. Start chatting — all Mintlify tools are now invokable.
