noon Marketplace + Cursor

Sell on noon.com (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt) from an AI agent through the noon Partner API: warehouses, catalog content and product groups, offers, prices, stock, FBPI orders and shipments, purchase orders, return lookups and bulk exports. Service account login with a signed JWT; price, stock, product and order writes install switched off.

Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

NOON_KEY_ID, NOON_PRIVATE_KEY, NOON_PROJECT_CODE

Step 1 — Get credentials

Setting up takes about 5 minutes. You need a seller account on noon.com (UAE, Saudi Arabia or Egypt) with access to the noon Partner portal, and a service account key for the noon Partner API.

  1. Sign in to the noon Partner portal and open the Access App (or User & Access > User access), then API Users in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Add Service Account, enter a display name and username, and pick a role. Project Viewer is enough for the read tools; the write tools need a role that may change catalog, prices, stock or orders (Project Owner grants everything). You can restrict the key to IP addresses and give it an expiry; without them it works from any IP and never expires. Each partner can create one service account with up to five keys.
  3. When you click Add, a .json key file downloads. It is shown only once; if you lose it, create a new key.
  4. Copy three fields of that file: key_id into NOON_KEY_ID, private_key into NOON_PRIVATE_KEY and project_code into NOON_PROJECT_CODE. The private key is the whole PEM, from -----BEGIN PRIVATE KEY----- to -----END PRIVATE KEY-----; you can paste it on one line, with the \n sequences exactly as they appear in the file.
  5. Install the connector and run noon_marketplace_whoami: it shows the service account behind the session (user code and username).

How login works: there is no static API key. For every login the connector signs a fresh RS256 JWT with your private key (the key id as subject, the current time, a random token id) and posts it with your project code to noon's login endpoint. noon answers with session cookies, which go with every call. A session lasts 30 days; the connector signs in again before it ends and whenever a call returns 401. Every request also carries the X-Project header with your project code, which noon's content API requires.

Identifiers: partner_sku is your own SKU, unique across all your products; prices, stock and offers are keyed by it. sku_parent (starts with Z) is noon's id of a product with all its variants, used for content and product groups. The noon SKU (sku, starts with N) and psku_code (starts with P) identify one variant. warehouse_code comes from noon_marketplace_list_warehouses; FBPI orders and shipments belong to an integration warehouse. country_code is ae, sa or eg in lower case, and prices are per SKU and country, in AED, SAR or EGP. Orders and shipments are identified by fbpi_order_nr, mp_item_nr (one item of an order) and your own integration_shipment_nr.

What it reads: the service account and your warehouses; every category code of the noon catalog and the attributes a category requires, with how their values are validated; a product's content with completeness, QC status and the reasons it is not live; product groups (variants shown together on one page); a partner SKU's offers in every country with price, stock, live status and the issues keeping an offer offline; prices, MSRP (the crossed-out reference price) and active state per SKU and country; stock per warehouse and SKU; FBPI orders (fulfilled from your own warehouse) with their items, the customer of an order and its shipments; purchase orders; returned items by AWB number or returns barcode; and the status of catalog imports. Several reads are POST requests with a JSON body, which is how noon's API works; they change nothing.

Bulk exports and AWBs: noon_marketplace_list_export_categories lists the report types you can export, noon_marketplace_create_export starts one, and noon_marketplace_get_export_status shows when the file is ready, with its download_url. noon_marketplace_generate_awbs creates AWB (air waybill) numbers for parcels handed to noon's courier. Neither changes any data, so both stay switched on.

Switched off at install: noon_marketplace_upsert_product, noon_marketplace_upsert_product_group, noon_marketplace_upsert_prices, noon_marketplace_update_stock, noon_marketplace_mark_items_unavailable, noon_marketplace_create_shipment and noon_marketplace_cancel_shipment. Price, stock, product, order and shipment writes change what customers see and buy (live prices, sellable quantity, published content) or act on real orders, and some cannot be undone: marking items unavailable cancels them for the customer, and cancelling a shipment cancels every item in it. An administrator turns on the ones a workspace needs in the connector's tool settings. After a shipment is created, the manifest for noon's pickup is completed in Seller Lab.

Batch results: price, stock and product calls answer 200 even when some items failed, so check the status of every returned item and resend only the failed ones. noon_marketplace_update_stock sets an absolute quantity; it does not add to the current one. In noon_marketplace_upsert_prices, a field left out or sent as null keeps its value. A product stored with status_id 3 has content problems, which noon_marketplace_get_content lists.

Limits: list tools return a next_token, and the AI calls again with it and the same filters until it is empty. Rate limits apply per project and endpoint, with a main window and a shorter burst window: most endpoints allow 1500 requests per 60 seconds, noon_marketplace_list_warehouses 30 per 60 seconds with a burst of 15 per 30 seconds. A 429 means waiting for the seconds in the X-Ratelimit-Retry-After header; one batch call is better than many single-item calls.

Common errors: 401 means the login or the session failed: a key id and private key from different key files, a deactivated or expired key, or a server clock more than five minutes off noon's, which makes noon reject the signed token. 403 PERMISSION_DENIED means the service account has no role for that call; add one under User Access > Manage Role in the Partner portal. 400 INVALID_ARGUMENT names the field and the reason. NOT_FOUND on a price item means the SKU has no pricing record in that country yet, so set a price first.

Step 2 — Install the adapter

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d

Step 3 — Add the connector in Cursor

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

Cursor reads MCP servers from ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Add this entry:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "anythingmcp": {
      "url": "https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID",
      "headers": { "X-API-Key": "YOUR_MCP_API_KEY" }
    }
  }
}
  1. Create an MCP API key in AnythingMCP under MCP Servers → your server → API keys, and paste it in place of YOUR_MCP_API_KEY.
  2. Save the file and restart Cursor.
  3. Open Cursor → Settings → MCP and check that anythingmcp is listed and connected.
  4. Start chatting: the agent can now call the noon Marketplace tools.
