OddsRelay + Microsoft Copilot
Pre-match odds from UK and Irish bookmakers with exchange lay prices. Look up sports, events and bookmakers, then read one matched board or one event's prices.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
ODDSRELAY_KEY
Step 1 — Get credentials
Setting up takes about 2 minutes. You need an OddsRelay account and an API key from it. For one event's odds, the key must be able to read raw odds.
- Sign in to your account at https://oddsrelay.io and create an API key.
- Paste it into
ODDSRELAY_KEY. It is sent as a Bearer token on every call and is never a tool argument. - Install the connector and run
oddsrelay_get_usage: it shows the key's token balance, when it resets and which boards the key can read. It costs no tokens.
What it reads: pre-match odds from UK and Irish bookmakers with exchange lay prices. A matched board (standard, 2up, dutching, each-way, extra-place or bog) puts bookmaker back prices beside exchange lay prices for one sport at up to five bookmakers. Event odds give one event's prices at every bookmaker and exchange carrying it, market by market. The free tools list competition keys (a sport such as soccer alone covers all its competitions), events with their ids and start times, bookmaker and exchange keys (such as william_hill or betfair_exchange) and which bookmakers have prices on each board now. Every tool only reads.
Asks before it spends tokens: oddsrelay_get_board and oddsrelay_get_event_odds spend tokens from the account behind the key, and the connector has no cap of its own. Before either one, the AI runs oddsrelay_quote_board or oddsrelay_quote_event_odds with the same arguments, tells you the cost and the tokens remaining, and goes ahead only when you agree. All other tools cost nothing. Narrow calls cost less: one competition key rather than a whole sport, only the bookmakers you need, a markets filter (such as h2h) and a start-time window.
Paging and times: sports and events come in pages. The AI passes meta.next_cursor back until it is null, and starts again from the first page when a cursor expires after a few minutes. Times are ISO 8601 in UTC, such as 2026-10-10T12:00:00Z.
Common errors: 401 means the key is missing or wrong. 402 insufficient_tokens means the balance cannot cover the call; oddsrelay_get_usage shows the balance and when it resets. 400 with a valid list means an unknown sport, bookmaker, exchange or market. 403 means the request reaches past what the key may read. 404 unknown_event means the event is no longer listed. 429 means too many calls at once: wait for the Retry-After time, then try once more. 503 means the API is not available right now.
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in Microsoft Copilot
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Microsoft Copilot uses MCP servers through agents built in Copilot Studio: you add AnythingMCP to an agent as a tool, then publish the agent to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams. Copilot Studio connects from Microsoft's cloud over Streamable HTTP, which AnythingMCP supports.
- In Copilot Studio, open your agent (or create one), go to Tools and choose Add a tool → New tool → Model Context Protocol.
- Enter a Server name (for example
AnythingMCP), a Server description that says what the connector does, and the Server URLhttps://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID. Copilot Studio uses the description to decide when to call the server. - Under authentication, choose API key, set Type to Header and the header name to
X-API-Key, then select Create. - In Add tool, choose Create a new connection, paste an MCP API key from AnythingMCP (MCP Servers → your server → API keys) and select Add to agent.
- Try it in the agent's Test pane: ask for something that needs the
OddsRelaytools. - Select Publish, then Channels → Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, keep Make agent available in Microsoft Copilot selected and choose Add channel. See agent in Teams installs it for you; in Microsoft 365 Copilot, type @ and pick the agent.
Prefer per-user sign-in? Choose OAuth 2.0 → Dynamic discovery instead of an API key: each user then signs in to AnythingMCP the first time the agent calls it.
Self-hosting? Use your instance's public HTTPS address instead of https://cloud.anythingmcp.com. Copilot Studio connects from Microsoft's cloud, so localhost does not work.

oddsrelay_get_board | Reads one matched board: bookmaker back prices beside exchange lay prices, for one sport at the bookmakers you name |
oddsrelay_quote_event_odds | Returns what one event's odds would cost in tokens, and the tokens remaining, without reading them |
oddsrelay_get_event_odds | Reads one event's prices at every bookmaker and exchange carrying it, market by market |
oddsrelay_get_usage | Shows the key's token balance and when it resets, and which boards the key can read |
FAQ
Which Copilot is this for? Microsoft 365 Copilot at work, through agents built in Copilot Studio. The Microsoft Copilot app for personal accounts has no option to add your own MCP server.
What do I need? A work account with access to Copilot Studio (a license or a trial) to build the agent. People who use it in Microsoft 365 Copilot or Teams need access to the agent: share it with them, or ask an admin to publish it to the organization. If your organization applies data policies to Power Platform connectors, they cover MCP servers too.
The agent doesn't call the tools. Check that the header name is exactly X-API-Key and that the key belongs to the same MCP server as the URL, and make the server description specific: Copilot Studio uses it to decide when to call the server. Publish the agent again after each change; in an open chat, type "start over" to get the new version.
