How to Connect Ozon Seller to Gemini via MCP

Ozon Seller + Gemini

Run an Ozon seller account from an AI agent: products, stock and prices, FBS and FBO postings, returns, finance accruals and the balance report, sales analytics, warehouses, promotions, reviews and buyer questions, with price and stock updates. One Client ID and API key.

Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

Step 1 — Get credentials

Setting up takes about 3 minutes in your Ozon seller account. The connector has been tested with real Ozon data: its read tools were checked against a live seller account.

1. In the seller portal open Settings → Seller API (seller.ozon.ru/app/settings/api-keys) and click Generate key.
2. Name the key and choose its role: Admin covers every tool, a narrower role works for the tools it covers. If Ozon asks what the key is for, choose an external service and name AnythingMCP.
3. Copy the key into OZON_API_KEY right away, because Ozon shows it only once, and the Client ID from the same page (a number) into OZON_CLIENT_ID. Install the connector.
4. Run ozon_get_api_key_info: it shows the key's roles and its expiry date. Ozon keys last 3 months, so create a new one before it runs out.

What it reads: your products by article (offer_id), Ozon product id or SKU, with name, barcodes, prices, VAT, status and moderation errors; stock across FBO, FBS and rFBS, and per warehouse of your own; prices with the minimum price, the price after your promotions, the price index and the sales commission for FBO and FBS; FBS, rFBS and FBO postings for a period, and one FBS posting in full with delivery, tracking, cancellation and the payout per product; returns with reason and status; the balance report as under Finance → Balance, every accrual of a day, and the accruals behind up to 200 postings; sales analytics; your warehouses; Ozon promotions you can join; reviews and buyer questions. Buyer contact data is never returned.

Finance: Ozon switched off the old transaction list in September 2026. The connector already uses the methods that replace it: the balance report for up to 30 days, the daily accrual list and the accruals per posting.

Postings need a period: for FBS and FBO lists the AI always gives a start and an end date (at most one year). For today's FBS orders it filters on the status awaiting packaging.

Subscriptions: reviews need the Review management or Premium Pro subscription, buyer questions need Premium Plus; without them Ozon refuses those calls. Without Premium Plus, analytics returns only revenue and ordered units, for the last 3 months and at most 50 calls a day. Analytics allows one call a minute in any case.

Asks before every change: ozon_update_prices and ozon_update_stocks change your live shop. The AI shows you every product with its old and new price or stock and waits for your yes, then checks Ozon's answer and reads the values back. A stock value replaces the current stock and must leave out reserved units, so the AI reads them first. Each product's price can change at most 10 times an hour. Replies to reviews (ozon_reply_to_review) and answers to questions (ozon_answer_question) are public on the product page: the AI shows you the exact text before it publishes.

Switched off at install: ozon_ship_fbs_posting (assembling an FBS order into packages) and ozon_cancel_fbs_posting (cancelling an FBS order, which cannot be undone and may count against your seller rating). An administrator turns them on deliberately, and the AI asks for your explicit confirmation each time.

Rate limits: at most 50 requests a second per Client ID, plus per-method limits. On 429 the AI waits for the time Ozon gives in Retry-After. Ozon may block keys that send many identical or failing requests.

Common errors: 401 Invalid Api-Key means the key is wrong, expired or belongs to another Client ID. 403 "missing a required role" means the key works but its role does not cover that tool; check the roles with ozon_get_api_key_info. 403 "restricted to specific IP addresses": allow all networks for the key.

The connector does not create or edit product cards, create FBO supply requests, print labels or acts, chat with buyers, join or manage promotions, or use the Performance (advertising) API.

Step 2 — Install the adapter

Step 3 — Add the connector in Gemini

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

Gemini CLI reads MCP servers from ~/.gemini/settings.json (on Windows %USERPROFILE%\.gemini\settings.json). Add:

1. Create an MCP API key in AnythingMCP under MCP Servers → your server → API keys, and paste it in place of YOUR_MCP_API_KEY.
2. Save the file and restart gemini.
3. Run /mcp inside Gemini CLI (or gemini mcp list in your shell): anythingmcp should show as connected.
4. Start prompting: Gemini CLI can now call the Ozon Seller tools.
