Printify + Claude
Printify print-on-demand: shops, products, the blueprint catalog with print providers, variants and shipping, the image library, orders and webhooks. Printify REST API v1 with a personal access token.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
PRINTIFY_API_TOKEN
Step 1 — Get credentials
The connector uses the Printify REST API v1 with a personal access token. One token covers every store in the Printify account.
- In Printify, open My Profile → Connections and click Generate under Personal Access Tokens.
- Pick the access scopes. For every tool:
shops.read,catalog.read,print_providers.read,products.read,products.write,orders.read,orders.write,uploads.read,uploads.write,webhooks.read. For a read-only setup, tick only the*.readscopes. - Copy the token into
PRINTIFY_API_TOKEN. Printify shows it only once, and it expires after one year; generate a new one then. - Call
printify_list_shopsfirst. Each store has a numericid, which is theshop_idof every product, order and webhook tool, and asales_channel(etsy,shopify,custom_integrationordisconnected).
With an Etsy shop
Connect the Etsy shop in Printify first: open the store menu, then Manage my stores → Connect → Etsy, sign in to Etsy and grant access. Printify's help center also asks you to add Printify as a production partner in Etsy under Shop Manager → Settings → Production partners. The shop then appears in printify_list_shops with sales_channel etsy.
- Products live in Printify. Create or edit them there (
printify_create_product,printify_update_product), thenprintify_publish_productpushes title, description, images, variants, tags and the shipping profile to the Etsy listing. Do not edit the listing in Etsy afterwards, or the two drift apart: change the product in Printify and publish again. - Etsy orders for Printify products are imported automatically and appear in
printify_list_orders. Do not create them again withprintify_create_order. Whether they go to production on their own or wait depends on the order approval settings in Printify. - Pair it with the Etsy connector on the same AnythingMCP server: Etsy for listing statistics, reviews and buyer messages, Printify for production costs, shipping and fulfillment status.
Limits and costs: 600 requests per minute per account, 100 per minute on catalog endpoints, and 200 publish calls per 30 minutes. Prices and costs are integers in cents (2499 = 24.99). printify_send_order_to_production charges your Printify balance or card, and printify_cancel_order only works while an order is on-hold or payment-not-received.
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in Claude
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Recommended path — works on claude.ai web without editing any config file.
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Enter a name, e.g.
Printify, and the remote MCP server URLhttps://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID, then click Add. - Click Connect and sign in to AnythingMCP (OAuth) to allow access.
