Shopee Seller + Gemini
Let your AI work with your Shopee shop: listings and variations, orders, shipping and tracking, returns, order income, discounts and Ads figures, with stock and price updates available on request.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
SHOPEE_HOST, SHOPEE_PARTNER_ID, SHOPEE_PARTNER_KEY
Step 1 — Get credentials
Setting up takes about 15 minutes the first time, plus the time Shopee needs to review a new app. You need a Shopee Open Platform app of your own and the seller account of the shop.
- Sign in at open.shopee.com, complete the developer registration, then open Console → App List and create an app for your own shop (for example the Seller In House System type). Shopee reviews new apps before they can go live.
- On the app's edit page, set the Test Redirect URL Domain and the Live Redirect URL Domain to your AnythingMCP address:
https://cloud.anythingmcp.comon AnythingMCP Cloud, or your own server address when self-hosted. Shopee refuses an authorization that comes back to another domain. - Copy the app's Partner ID into
SHOPEE_PARTNER_IDand its Partner Key intoSHOPEE_PARTNER_KEY. Live and test apps have different keys: use the pair that matches the host. - Set
SHOPEE_HOST:https://partner.shopeemobile.comfor live shops (Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Latin America and the other markets),https://openplatform.shopee.com.brif your app is served from Brazil,https://openplatform.shopee.cnfor developers in China mainland, andhttps://openplatform.sandbox.test-stable.shopee.sg(orhttps://partner.test-stable.shopeemobile.com) with test keys and a sandbox test shop. - Install the connector, open it and click Authorize with Provider. On Shopee, sign in with the shop account (a main or merchant account is refused), pick the shop and how long the authorization lasts, and confirm. Then run
shopee_get_shop_info: it shows the shop, its region and status, and when the authorization expires.
Tokens renew themselves: the access token lasts about 4 hours and is renewed automatically. The refresh token behind it lasts about 30 days, so a connector that nobody uses for longer than that, or whose authorization was cancelled in Shopee Seller Centre, needs a new authorization. The connector shows this, its owner gets one email, and a click on Authorize with Provider fixes it.
Your Partner Key stays with AnythingMCP: every call is signed with it, and the key itself is never sent. A signature is valid for 5 minutes, so on a self-hosted server with a wrong clock Shopee answers error_sign.
What it reads: the shop and its public profile; your listings with name, SKU, category, status, price, stock, images, weight and logistics, plus sales, views, likes and ratings; the variations of a listing (colour, size and so on) with their own price and stock; orders with buyer, items, amounts, payment method, carrier, packages and address; the orders still waiting to be shipped; how an order can be handed over (pickup slots and drop-off points), tracking numbers and tracking history; your logistics channels; return and refund requests with reason, buyer photos and refund amount; what each order earns you after commission, fees, shipping and vouchers; your discount promotions; and your Shopee Ads balance and daily CPC ads figures (impressions, clicks, spend, orders, GMV and ROAS).
Time windows: Shopee lists orders and returns for windows of at most 15 days, so for a whole month the AI asks twice and adds up. Ads figures cover at most one month per call, within the last 6 months.
Switched off at install: shopee_update_stock and shopee_update_price. They change your live shop: stock is overwritten (it cannot go below what orders have already reserved), and a new price applies at once, while running promotions keep their own price. An administrator turns them on deliberately, and even then the AI shows you every listing or variation with the old and new figure and waits for your yes.
Nothing moves money: no tool ships, cancels, refunds, answers buyers or creates promotions. Arranging a shipment, handling a return and replying to buyers stay in Shopee Seller Centre.
Limits: Shopee limits calls per app. After error_rate_limit or a 429 the AI waits a minute before trying again. Ads tools need the Ads permission on your app.
Common errors: error_sign or invalid_partner_id means the Partner ID, Partner Key and host do not belong together, for example live keys on the sandbox host. error_permission means the app lacks the permission for that API. error_param means a parameter is wrong or a time window is too long. source_ip_undeclared means your app has an IP allowlist in the Console that does not include AnythingMCP's address.
The connector does not arrange shipments, cancel orders, handle returns or refunds, reply to buyers or chats, create discounts or ads, or upload new listings.
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in Gemini
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Gemini CLI reads MCP servers from ~/.gemini/settings.json (on Windows %USERPROFILE%\.gemini\settings.json). Add:
{
"mcpServers": {
"anythingmcp": {
"httpUrl": "https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID",
"headers": { "X-API-Key": "YOUR_MCP_API_KEY" }
}
}
}
- Create an MCP API key in AnythingMCP under MCP Servers → your server → API keys, and paste it in place of
YOUR_MCP_API_KEY. - Save the file and restart
gemini. - Run
/mcpinside Gemini CLI (orgemini mcp listin your shell):anythingmcpshould show as connected. - Start prompting: Gemini CLI can now call the
Shopee Sellertools.

FAQ
Where does Gemini CLI look for MCP servers? In ~/.gemini/settings.json for your user, or in .gemini/settings.json inside a project. gemini mcp list shows each server and whether it connects.
