Shoper + Gemini
Shoper online shops (Poland): orders with line items and parcels, products and stock per variant, categories, registered customers, order statuses, shipping and payment methods. Sets stock quantities; changing an order status, which can e-mail the customer, is installed switched off.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
SHOPER_SHOP_HOST, SHOPER_API_LOGIN, SHOPER_API_PASSWORD
Step 1 — Get credentials
Setting up takes about 5 minutes. You need administrator access to the Shoper admin panel of the shop.
- In the Shoper admin panel open Ustawienia, Ogólne, Administratorzy sklepu. Click WIĘCEJ, Dodaj grupę administratorów, give it a name (e.g. AI) and choose the access type dostęp do webapi. Save.
- Open the group, tab Uprawnienia: allow reading of orders, products, customers and the settings the AI should see. Allow editing of products only if the AI should set stock, and of orders only if you switch on the status change. Save.
- Tab Administratorzy, DODAJ ADMINISTRATORA: create a login and password and enter them in
SHOPER_API_LOGINandSHOPER_API_PASSWORD. A registered Shoper app can use its client_id and client_secret here instead. - Set
SHOPER_SHOP_HOSTto the shop address without https:// and without a path, e.g.myshop.shoparena.plor your own domainsklep.example.pl. - Install the connector and run
shoper_list_orders: it lists your orders and confirms the login.
The connector signs in at /webapi/rest/auth with HTTP Basic and receives a token valid for 30 days, which it renews by itself.
What it reads: orders with date, status, customer, billing and delivery address, sum, paid amount and paid flag, shipping and payment method, shipping cost, notes, origin, tags and parcel count; one order in full, with pickup point and additional fields; order line items with product, variant (stock id), name, code, option, quantity, unit, price, discount, tax and weight; parcels with tracking number, sent flag and send date, cash on delivery and insurance; products with translations, categories, producer, stock, options, attributes, related products, dimensions and tax; product stocks, the sellable variants, with quantity, warehouse quantities, price, special, wholesale and buying price and availability; categories and the whole category tree; registered customers with login, e-mail, name, customer group, discount, newsletter consent, registration date, last visit and loyalty points; order statuses (with email_change), shipping methods and payment methods.
Finding an order: the AI lists orders with filters and order (for example a date filter and -date for newest first), reads one with shoper_get_order, then the line items with shoper_list_order_products and the tracking numbers with shoper_list_parcels, both with the filter order_id. Names of statuses, payments and shipping methods come from shoper_list_statuses, shoper_list_payments and shoper_list_shippings. Guest orders have no user_id; the AI uses the e-mail of the order instead.
Filters: filters is an object of field conditions joined with AND. A plain value means equal; the operators are =, !=, >, >=, <, <=, LIKE (with %), NOT LIKE, IN and NOT IN (with a list). Nested fields use dots, e.g. translations.pl_PL.name.
What it writes: shoper_update_product_stock is on at install. It overwrites the quantity of one variant (or the quantity per warehouse when the shop uses warehouses) and changes at once what customers can order, so the AI confirms the stock id, the current and the new quantity with you first.
Switched off at install: shoper_update_order_status. Statuses with email_change 1 e-mail the customer immediately when an order moves to them, so an administrator turns this tool on deliberately. Even then the AI shows you the order, the current and the new status and waits for your yes.
Formats: lists answer with count, pages, page and list. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS in the shop's time zone; amounts are strings in the shop currency. Texts are per language under translations (e.g. pl_PL, en_GB).
Limits: at most 50 items per page; the AI calls again with the next page until page equals pages. Shoper's leaky bucket allows a burst of about 10 calls and then 2 per second.
Common errors: 401 means a wrong login or password, or a group without webapi access. 403 (insufficient_scope or access_denied) means the administrator group lacks the permission for this area: extend it under Uprawnienia. 404 on every call usually means a wrong SHOPER_SHOP_HOST. 429 means the rate limit is reached: wait for Retry-After.
The connector does not create or edit orders, products, prices or customers, does not create parcels or shipping labels and deletes nothing.
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in Gemini
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Gemini CLI reads MCP servers from ~/.gemini/settings.json (on Windows %USERPROFILE%\.gemini\settings.json). Add:
{
"mcpServers": {
"anythingmcp": {
"httpUrl": "https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID",
"headers": { "X-API-Key": "YOUR_MCP_API_KEY" }
}
}
}
- Create an MCP API key in AnythingMCP under MCP Servers → your server → API keys, and paste it in place of
YOUR_MCP_API_KEY. - Save the file and restart
gemini. - Run
/mcpinside Gemini CLI (orgemini mcp listin your shell):anythingmcpshould show as connected. - Start prompting: Gemini CLI can now call the
Shopertools.

FAQ
Where does Gemini CLI look for MCP servers? In ~/.gemini/settings.json for your user, or in .gemini/settings.json inside a project. gemini mcp list shows each server and whether it connects.
