Shoptet + ChatGPT
Shoptet e-shop (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary), read-only: orders with history and notes, products and variants with prices and stock, categories, brands, stock levels and movements, customers, invoices, proforma invoices, credit notes, payment and shipping methods.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
SHOPTET_API_TOKEN
Step 1 — Get credentials
Setting up takes about 3 minutes. You need a Shoptet Premium e-shop, because the private API is only available on Premium, and access to its administration.
- In the Shoptet administration, open Connections (Propojení), Private API and create a token.
- Give the token read access to the areas you want the AI to see: orders, products, stock, customers and documents. An area the token cannot read answers 403.
- Paste the token into
SHOPTET_API_TOKEN: only the token, without spaces or quotes. - Install the connector and run
shoptet_get_eshop: it shows the shop's name, URL, currencies, languages and time zone, which proves the token works.
One token, one e-shop: a token belongs to exactly one e-shop. If you run a .cz and a .sk shop, install the connector a second time with the token of the other shop.
What it reads: the shop's own settings; orders with billing and delivery address, items, prices with and without VAT, status, paid flag, payment and shipping method, sales channel, notes and tracking number; the full history of an order (status changes, e-mails sent, remarks); products and their variants with code, EAN, price, VAT rate, availability and stock, per stock if you ask; categories and brands; stock levels with the amounts reserved by orders, and stock movements; registered customers with addresses, company and VAT id and customer group; invoices with variable symbol, due date and VAT breakdown; proforma invoices; credit notes (opravné daňové doklady) with their reason; and payment and shipping methods.
Shop settings come first: order statuses, order sources, stocks, categories and brands are different in every shop, so the AI first reads their ids from your shop (for example with shoptet_list_order_statuses or shoptet_list_stocks) and then filters with them. A product is found by its code, the SKU you see in the admin and on orders, with shoptet_get_product_by_code.
Pages, times and prices: orders come newest first, at most 50 per page; products 1 to 100 per page; credit notes at most 20 per page. Each list says how many pages there are, and the AI asks for the next one only when it needs it. Times carry an offset such as 2026-10-20T00:00:00+0200: Czech and Slovak shops run on Europe/Prague time. Prices come with the shop currency, for example CZK or EUR.
Read-only: the connector has no tool that changes anything. It cannot change an order or its status, a product, a price, stock or a customer, so there is nothing for the AI to confirm with you.
Limits: Shoptet allows 3 simultaneous requests per token and slows down bursts with a 429. The AI waits a few seconds before trying again, and asks for what it needs instead of paging through the whole shop.
Common errors: 401 expired-token or invalid-token means the token was deleted or has expired: create a new one. 403 invalid-token-no-rights means the token has no access to that area: edit its rights under Private API. 404 means there is no order, product or document with that code.
The connector does not create or change orders, products, prices, stock or customers, does not issue invoices or credit notes, and does not send e-mails to your customers.
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in ChatGPT
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
ChatGPT adds MCP servers as plugins on its Plugins page, on the web and on paid plans. Developer mode is no longer needed. In a Business workspace only admins and owners can add one; in Enterprise and Edu an admin can grant the Create plugins with MCPs permission.
- Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, click +, then Add custom MCP server.
- Enter a name, e.g. Name:
Shoptet. - Under Connection, enter the Server URL
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_IDand keep Authentication on OAuth. - Select I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin. When ChatGPT asks, sign in to AnythingMCP and allow access.
- Install the new plugin from your personal plugins, then type @ in a chat and pick it.
