Tidely + Meta Muse
Tidely cash flow planning: the cash flow and forecast per month, week or day, scenarios, categories, bank accounts with balances and transactions, sales and purchase invoices, and planned values. Reads plus creating and updating invoices, plans, categories and transactions; deletes are installed switched off.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
TIDELY_API_KEY
Step 1 — Get credentials
Setting up takes about 5 minutes. You need a Tidely account with API access enabled; the only credential is an API key.
API access comes first: the API must be enabled for your Tidely account. If Settings → API Keys is missing, ask Tidely support ([email protected]) to enable it.
- Sign in to Tidely and open Settings → API Keys (app.tidely.com/settings/openapi). Click + to create a key and give it the scopes you need: read for the read tools, and write if the AI should create or update invoices, plans, categories or transactions.
- Copy the key, store it securely and paste it into
TIDELY_API_KEY. Paste only the key, withoutBeareror any other prefix: the connector sends it in theX-Authorizationheader. - Install the connector. Run
tidely_verify_authto check the connection: it returns the name of the user the key belongs to.
Cloud and self-hosted work the same way: the API key is the only credential, and there is no redirect URL to set.
Where to start: tidely_get_cashflow answers most liquidity questions: the balance now and the forecast per month, week or day. Without parameters it uses the base scenario, monthly periods, 6 months back and 18 ahead. For monthly periods from is the first day of a month and to the last day of a month (for weeks, a Monday and a Sunday). tidely_list_scenarios gives the ids of the other scenarios.
Invoices need their type: tidely_list_invoices, tidely_get_invoice and tidely_update_invoice take invoiceTypeFilter SALE or PURCHASE, which must match the invoice. Invoices synced from an ERP integration are read-only.
Transactions and imports: transactions are listed per bank account (bankAccountId). New transactions can only be added to bank accounts kept in Tidely (provider API or OFFLINE). Before importing from another system, tidely_check_transactions_exist checks up to 1000 external ids, so nothing is added twice.
Plans add up: tidely_create_plan adds a one-time amount to the planned values of a category in a scenario (the base case by default) for a day, week or month; with replaceCurrentValuesForThePeriod it replaces them instead. The category must accept planned values; without a category the amount goes to uncategorized income or expenses.
What it reads: the cash flow per month, week or day for a scenario, with opening and closing balances (actual, forecast and plan), open sales and purchase invoices, amounts per category, KPIs, overdraft and liquidity; planning scenarios; the category tree with its income and expense types; companies with currency and country; bank accounts with IBAN, type, provider and reference balance, their daily balance history and their transactions with counterpart, purpose and category; sales and purchase invoices with contact, dates, gross and open amount, status, category and source.
Switched off at install: tidely_delete_invoice, tidely_delete_category, tidely_delete_plans and tidely_delete_bank_account_transaction. They delete an invoice, a category, all planned values of one category in one scenario, or a bank account transaction, and none of it can be undone. Switch on only the ones you need on the connector page; the AI asks you to confirm every change first. Creating and updating invoices, categories, plans and bank account transactions is switched on (tidely_create_invoice, tidely_update_invoice, tidely_create_category, tidely_update_category, tidely_create_plan, tidely_create_bank_account_transaction, tidely_update_bank_account_transaction); these calls need a key with the write scope.
Nothing moves money: transactions and invoices are records for planning; no tool pays or transfers anything. Bulk imports, creating or changing bank accounts and the Partner API (OAuth, for white-label partners) are not part of this connector.
Amounts, dates and paging: amounts are decimals in the account or company currency, negative for outgoing money and expenses; dates are YYYY-MM-DD. Paged lists start at page 0, return 50 items per page by default and report totalPages.
Common errors: 401 (INVALID_CREDENTIALS) means the key is missing or wrong: create a new one and paste it without a prefix. 403 (INSUFFICIENT_SCOPE) means the key is valid but lacks the scope for that call: edit its scopes under Settings → API Keys. 400 (INVALID_REQUEST) is invalid input and 404 an unknown id, for example CATEGORY_NOT_FOUND. A 500 is worth one retry after a short wait.
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in Muse
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Muse adds remote MCP servers as custom connectors and signs in to them with OAuth.
- In Muse, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the MCP server URL
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID. - Muse opens the AnythingMCP sign-in page: sign in and approve access.
- In a chat, ask Muse for something that needs the
Tidelytools.
You can also set it up from a chat, on the web, in the iOS and Android apps or in WhatsApp. Send Muse this message:
Create a Custom Connector for a new remote MCP server, then connect to it:
Name: AnythingMCP
Transport: remote streamable HTTP
URL: https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID
Auth: OAuth
Self-hosting? Use your instance's public HTTPS address instead of https://cloud.anythingmcp.com. Muse connects from Meta's cloud, so localhost does not work.

FAQ
Where is Muse available? Meta currently offers Muse in the US and Canada, on the web, in the iOS and Android apps and in WhatsApp.
Does Meta review this connector? No. Meta doesn't review custom connectors. Muse sees only the tools you switched on for this MCP server in AnythingMCP, and you can disconnect it anytime under Settings → Connectors.
