Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
WAVE_ACCESS_TOKEN, WAVE_BUSINESS_ID
Step 1 — Get credentials
This connector wraps the Wave GraphQL API (gql.waveapps.com/graphql/public).
Setup:
- Sign in to https://my.waveapps.com → bottom-left avatar → Manage Applications → Create Application.
- Use the OAuth flow to obtain an access token, OR (faster) generate a Full Access Token from the application settings (single-tenant).
- Business ID: Wave is multi-business — find your business ID via the
wave_get_businessesquery or in the URL of any Wave page. - Set
WAVE_ACCESS_TOKENandWAVE_BUSINESS_ID.
Authentication: Authorization: Bearer ${WAVE_ACCESS_TOKEN}.

ChatGPT supports MCP servers via the Connectors feature (Plus / Pro / Team / Enterprise plans). The free tier does not support custom connectors.
