YouTrack + Meta Muse
JetBrains YouTrack: issues with YouTrack's query language, their comments and work items, projects, agile boards, sprints and users. REST API, permanent-token auth against YouTrack Cloud or a self-hosted server.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
YOUTRACK_URL, YOUTRACK_TOKEN
Step 1 — Get credentials
Getting a token
- In YouTrack open your profile → Account Security → Authentication → New token, give it the
YouTrackscope, and copy it. Permanent tokens begin withperm:. - Set
YOUTRACK_URLto your instance root. On YouTrack Cloud that ishttps://example.youtrack.cloud; on a self-hosted server it may include a context path such ashttps://yt.example.com/youtrack. No trailing slash. The adapter appends/api. - Set
YOUTRACK_TOKEN. It is sent asAuthorization: Bearer perm:….
…(continued in the in-app connector instructions)
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in Muse
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Muse adds remote MCP servers as custom connectors and signs in to them with OAuth.
- In Muse, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the MCP server URL
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID. - Muse opens the AnythingMCP sign-in page: sign in and approve access.
- In a chat, ask Muse for something that needs the
YouTracktools.
You can also set it up from a chat, on the web, in the iOS and Android apps or in WhatsApp. Send Muse this message:
Create a Custom Connector for a new remote MCP server, then connect to it:
Name: AnythingMCP
Transport: remote streamable HTTP
URL: https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID
Auth: OAuth
Self-hosting? Use your instance's public HTTPS address instead of https://cloud.anythingmcp.com. Muse connects from Meta's cloud, so localhost does not work.
Available tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
youtrack_get_me | Read the user the token belongs to, with their login, full name and e-mail |
youtrack_search_issues | Search issues with YouTrack's query language — the same grammar as the web UI's search box |
youtrack_get_issue | Read one issue in full: summary, description, reporter, dates, and its custom fields — where state, priority and assignee actually live |
youtrack_list_issue_comments | Read the comments on one issue in order, with their author, text and creation time |
youtrack_list_issue_work_items | Read the time logged against one issue: each entry's author, date, duration and work type — the effort behind a ticket |
youtrack_list_projects | List projects with their short name, full name, description and leader — the short name is what a query's project: clause needs |
youtrack_list_agile_boards | List the agile boards with their name, the projects they cover and their current sprint, for a board-level view of the work |
youtrack_list_sprint_issues | List the issues on one sprint of one agile board, with their state and assignee — the sprint contents an agent is usually asked about |
youtrack_list_users | List users with their login, full name and e-mail, to resolve who an issue is assigned to |
youtrack_add_comment | Post a comment on an issue |
FAQ
Where is Muse available? Meta currently offers Muse in the US and Canada, on the web, in the iOS and Android apps and in WhatsApp.
Does Meta review this connector? No. Meta doesn't review custom connectors. Muse sees only the tools you switched on for this MCP server in AnythingMCP, and you can disconnect it anytime under Settings → Connectors.
