Guides for Base
Step-by-step setup for the most popular AI clients.
Setting up Base (Baselinker)
From the connector definition itself: where to find the credentials, what they need to be allowed to do, and which API this adapter talks to.
Base (Baselinker)
This connector works with one Base account (formerly Baselinker) through its API (https://api.baselinker.com/connector.php): orders with statuses, sources, event journal and shipments, product catalogs (inventories) with products, prices and stock, warehouses and couriers. It authenticates with the account's API token in the X-BLToken header.
Setup (about 2 minutes)
- In Base open Account & other → My account → API.
- Generate a token (or copy the existing one) and paste it into
BASELINKER_TOKEN. - To use
baselinker_get_journal_list, enable the order journal in the same API settings; otherwise it returns an empty list. - A token sees the whole account. Generating a new token invalidates the old one.
Read-only setup: switch off baselinker_set_order_status. baselinker_add_order, baselinker_update_inventory_products_stock and baselinker_create_package are installed switched off: they create orders, overwrite stock that is pushed to your shops and marketplaces, and order paid courier labels.
How calls work: every tool posts one API method (method) with its arguments as JSON (parameters). Ids are integers. Dates are Unix timestamps in seconds. Order statuses are account-specific ids from baselinker_get_order_status_list. Stock and locations are keyed by warehouse <type>_<id>, e.g. bl_123, from baselinker_get_inventory_warehouses; prices by price group id. baselinker_get_inventory_products_data returns products as an object keyed by product id.
Pagination: baselinker_get_orders returns at most 100 orders, oldest first. For the next batch set date_confirmed_from to the last order's date_confirmed + 1 and repeat until fewer than 100 come back. Product list and stock tools return 1000 products per page, starting at 1. The journal covers only the last 3 days; continue from the last event id with last_log_id.
Rate limit: 100 requests per minute per account. Exceeding it blocks the API for the account for a while, so prefer filters (status, source, date) over paging through everything, and avoid tight loops.
Errors: Base answers HTTP 200 with "status": "ERROR", an error_code and an error_message; the connector reports these as errors. ERROR_BAD_TOKEN: the token is wrong or was regenerated. ERROR_USER_ACCOUNT_BLOCKED: the account or API access is blocked, often after exceeding the request limit; wait before retrying. ERROR_UNKNOWN_METHOD, ERROR_PARSE_JSON_PARAMETERS or a message naming a field: wrong input. Partial success is possible: baselinker_update_inventory_products_stock lists per-product problems under warnings.
Out of scope here: invoices and receipts, returns, CRM clients, product creation and editing, price updates, documents, purchase orders and labels download.
