Setting up DaData

DaData

This connector calls the DaData API (HFLabs, dadata.ru) with your own key: suggestions and lookups for Russian addresses, companies and sole proprietors (ЕГРЮЛ/ЕГРИП), banks, full names (ФИО) and emails, reverse geocoding, IP to city, Russian reference lists, and the paid standardisation (cleansing) service.

Setup (about 2 minutes)

  1. Sign up at https://dadata.ru and open Профиль > API-ключи (https://dadata.ru/profile/#info).
  2. Paste the API key into DADATA_API_KEY. It is sent as Authorization: Token <key>.
  3. Optional: paste the secret key into DADATA_SECRET_KEY. Only the balance, the daily statistics and dadata_clean need it, sent as X-Secret.

Plans and costs

  • Suggestions and lookups (dadata_suggest_*, dadata_find_*, geolocate, iplocate) are part of the subscription: the free plan includes 10,000 requests a day, paid plans more data fields (finances, more company details). dadata_find_affiliated needs the Maximum plan.
  • dadata_clean costs money on every plan: about 20 kopecks per value, paid from the account balance. It is installed switched off. Before each call, tell the user how many values will be cleaned and the price, and wait for a yes; check the balance with dadata_get_balance first.

Tips

  • Company by INN: dadata_find_party with the INN (and branch_type MAIN for the head office). For a name, dadata_suggest_party first, then dadata_find_party with the INN it returns.
  • Results come as suggestions[], each with value (the display text), unrestricted_value and data (all fields). Statuses, OKVED and dates are in data; dates of companies are Unix milliseconds.
  • Address suggestions cover Russia by default; pass locations: [{"country_iso_code": "*"}] for Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries.
  • Errors: 403 "Feature ... disabled for token" means the API key is wrong or the service is not on your plan; 401 on balance or clean means the secret key is missing or wrong; 429 means the request rate (about 30 a second) or the daily limit was exceeded.
