Guides for Flour

Step-by-step setup for the most popular AI clients.

Setting up Flour

From the connector definition itself: where to find the credentials, what they need to be allowed to do, and which API this adapter talks to.

Flour

This connector reads Flour (flour.io), the German cloud POS and merchandise management system (Kasse, Warenwirtschaft, Rechnungen), through its REST API v3: articles with prices and stock, stocks and stock movements, sales documents and receipts, sold articles per period, business partners, cash register journals, stocktakes, branches and points of sale. It is read-only.

Setup

  1. Flour issues API tokens on request: write to [email protected] from the account owner's address and ask for a REST API v3 token for your Flour account.
  2. Paste the token into FLOUR_API_TOKEN. It is sent as Authorization: Bearer.
  3. Install and run flour_list_stocks to check the token.

Workflow

  • Master data first: flour_list_stocks (stock ids), flour_list_points_of_sale (till ids for the sales filters), flour_list_branches.
  • Sales: flour_get_sold_articles for quantity and revenue per article in a period (e.g. yesterday, last week, per till); flour_list_documents for the receipts and invoices themselves (type R), quotes N, orders A, delivery notes L, credit notes G, purchase invoices r, purchase orders b; flour_get_document for one document in full; flour_list_pos_journals for till openings and closings with cash amounts.
  • Articles and stock: flour_find_article by article number or EAN, flour_search_articles with filters (e.g. stock + stockOperator lte + stockAmount 5 for low stock), flour_get_article, flour_get_article_stock, flour_get_article_stock_availability, flour_list_article_stock_movements. In an article, stockAvailability is keyed by stock id with physical (counted) and calculated (after open orders) amounts, plus the totals.
  • Customers and suppliers: flour_list_business_partners. Stocktakes: flour_list_inventories, flour_get_inventory. Saved statistics: flour_list_statistics.

Dates: filters take ISO 8601 in UTC, e.g. 2026-10-21T22:00:00.000Z for midnight on 22 October in Germany (UTC+2 in summer, UTC+1 in winter). For one German business day use the previous day at 22:00 or 23:00 UTC as dateAfter. Amounts are in the document currency (usually EUR); totalExVat is net, totalIncVat gross.

Paging: lists are plain arrays without a total; ask for the next skip while a page comes back full. Keep document ranges short on busy tills: a year of receipts is tens of thousands of documents. Answers over 400 KB are cut: narrow the range.

Limits and errors: Flour allows about 60 requests per minute per token (429 above that; wait a minute). 401 means a wrong or revoked token: ask [email protected]. Credentials stored in Flour (payment terminals, fiscal TSE, bank accounts) are never passed on by this connector.
