Kenjo HR

Kenjo is an HR platform. This adapter reads employees, the organisation structure, time off, attendance and recruiting positions through the Kenjo API v1. It never writes.

Getting credentials

1. API access is off by default: Kenjo Customer Success must enable it for your account. Request it through Kenjo support.
2. An admin then opens Settings > Integrations > API (gear icon in the left menu, then the settings of the API box) and clicks Generate new API key. Copy the key at once: Kenjo shows it only once. Up to 5 keys per organisation.
3. Employee data is always included in a key. Switch on attendance, time off and recruiting for the key if you want those tools. Put the key in KENJO_API_KEY.

The connector exchanges the key at POST /auth/login for a bearer token and renews it by itself. Editing, regenerating or deleting the key in Kenjo invalidates its tokens. The adapter calls the production API api.kenjo.io; a sandbox key does not work there.

Where to start

• kenjo_list_employees: every employee with _id, e-mail, name, job title and company, office and department ids. Use it to find a person's _id.
• kenjo_get_employee: all sections of one employee. This adapter removes the financial section (bank and tax ids).
• Turn ids into names with kenjo_list_companies, kenjo_list_offices, kenjo_list_departments and kenjo_list_teams.

Formats and gotchas

• Dates are YYYY-MM-DD. Time-off requests take a from/to range of at most 92 days, attendances at most 31 days.
• Ids are 24-character hex strings, e.g. 60f0a916214987256be9c8ff.
• A 403 on attendance, time off or recruiting means that collection is not enabled for the key.

Pagination and rate limits: positions, time-off requests and time-off types are paginated. limit is 25, 50 or 100 (default 50); offset is the page number, starting at 1. The answer carries metadata.total: raise offset until you have them all. Other lists come back whole. Kenjo publishes no rate limit; on a 429, wait before retrying.

Cloud reachability: api.kenjo.io is a public HTTPS endpoint, reachable from AnythingMCP Cloud and from self-hosted instances alike.
