Setting up MFR Mobile Field Report
From the connector definition itself: where to find the credentials, what they need to be allowed to do, and which API this adapter talks to.
This connector uses the MFR OData v3 REST API. Key conventions:
Date format: Use datetime'YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ssZ' for all date filters (e.g. DateModified gt datetime'2025-01-01T00:00:00Z').
ID format: Entity IDs are numeric. When used in URL paths, append an 'L' suffix (e.g. /ServiceRequests(11164418048L)). The tools handle this automatically.
OData filtering: All list endpoints support $filter, $orderby, $top, $skip, $select, and $expand. Combine filters with and/or. Operators: eq, ne, gt, ge, lt, le.
Common entity states:
- ServiceRequest: ReadyForScheduling, Scheduled, InProgress, Released, Closed
- Appointment: NotVisited, InProgress, IsWorkDone, Rejected
- Invoice: eIsDraft, eIsPaid, eIsSent, eIsOverdue
Pagination: Use $top (max 100) and $skip for pagination. Default is 20 results.
Expanding relations: Use $expand to include related entities in a single request (e.g. $expand=Appointments,Customer,Tags). This avoids N+1 queries.
Workflow: A typical field service flow is: Create ServiceRequest → Create Appointment(s) → Assign technician → Track time → Complete steps → Generate report → Create invoice.
