Guides for Payhip

Step-by-step setup for the most popular AI clients.

Setting up Payhip

From the connector definition itself: where to find the credentials, what they need to be allowed to do, and which API this adapter talks to.

Payhip

This connector calls the Payhip API (https://payhip.com/api/v2) for your Payhip store: list, read and create coupon codes, and check and manage the software license keys of a product. Payhip's API covers only these two areas today: products, sales, customers and payouts are not available through it.

Setup (about 2 minutes)

  1. In Payhip open Settings > Developer and copy the API key into PAYHIP_API_KEY. It is sent in the payhip-api-key header and is needed for coupons.
  2. Optional, for license keys: open the product in Payhip, tick Generate unique license keys if it is not on yet, and copy the product secret key shown below that checkbox into PAYHIP_PRODUCT_SECRET_KEY. It is sent in the product-secret-key header. Each key belongs to one product: install the connector once per licensed product you want to manage, and give each install the product's name.

Safety: creating coupons and disabling, enabling or changing the usage count of license keys install switched off. A new coupon works at checkout immediately, and a disabled key locks the buyer out of the software, so confirm each change with the user. Refunds disable a key automatically.

Reading the data

  • Coupon amounts (amount_off, minimum_purchase_amount) are in cents; percent_off is a percentage. coupon_type is single (one product, product_key), multi (all products) or collection (collection_id).
  • Dates are RFC 3339. A license key's uses is the counter you raise and lower with the usage tools; Payhip does not enforce a limit, your software does.
  • Payhip's firewall challenges coupon calls from datacenter addresses, so the three coupon tools go out through AnythingMCP's outbound proxy where one is configured (as on AnythingMCP Cloud); license calls go direct. On a self-hosted server without CONNECTOR_PROXY_URL, coupon calls may answer 403 with an HTML page.
  • Every answer wraps the result in data. 401 authentication_fail means the API key or product secret key is wrong or missing.
