Guides for PlentyONE

Step-by-step setup for the most popular AI clients.

Setting up PlentyONE

From the connector definition itself: where to find the credentials, what they need to be allowed to do, and which API this adapter talks to.

PlentyONE (plentymarkets)

This connector uses the plentyONE REST API (formerly plentymarkets) of your own plentyONE system: orders, order statuses and sales channels (referrers), items and variations with prices, barcodes and texts, stock per warehouse, categories, manufacturers, units, sales prices and contacts. Creating an item and changing a variation are included, installed switched off.

Setup (about 5 minutes)

  1. REST access needs a plentyONE plan above Lite. In plentyONE open Setup > Account management > Roles, create a role for the AI, switch to Advanced and tick the REST API rights it needs, e.g. Items (show), Stock management (show), Categories (show), Orders and Order statuses (show), CRM contacts (show). No REST right is active by default.
  2. Under Setup > Account management > Accounts create a user with access Only API user, give it that role and a password.
  3. PLENTYONE_URL is the address of your system without /rest, e.g. https://p12345.my.plentysystems.com (plentyONE shows it under Setup > Client > Settings, or use the address you sign in at). PLENTYONE_USERNAME and PLENTYONE_PASSWORD are that API user's sign-in.
  4. Install and run plentyone_list_webstores to check the sign-in.

The connector signs in at /rest/login and keeps the access token (valid 24 hours) until it expires. plentyONE allows only a few signed-in sessions per user at the same time (3 by default, shared with the back end), so use a dedicated API user rather than a person's account.

Workflow

  • Products: plentyone_search_variations finds a SKU by exact number, part of the number, barcode, item name or category; plentyone_get_variation with with=variationSalesPrices, variationBarcodes, stock adds prices, EANs and stock. plentyone_search_items / plentyone_get_item read the item (the article) and plentyone_get_item_texts its names and descriptions per language.
  • Stock: plentyone_list_warehouses, then plentyone_get_stock (all warehouses, by variation) or plentyone_get_warehouse_stock (one warehouse). stockNet is what can be sold; stockPhysical what is on the shelf; reservedStock what open orders hold.
  • Orders: plentyone_search_orders with plentyONE's filter syntax (statusId in:3,4, createdAt between:<from>,<to> in ISO 8601 with offset), then plentyone_get_order with with ["addresses","orderItems.variation"]. plentyone_list_order_statuses and plentyone_list_referrers explain status and channel ids.
  • Master data: plentyone_list_categories, plentyone_list_manufacturers, plentyone_list_units, plentyone_list_sales_prices, plentyone_search_contacts, plentyone_list_webstores.

Paging: list answers carry page, totalsCount, isLastPage and lastPageNumber; ask for the next page until isLastPage is true.

Writes switched off: plentyone_create_item creates an item with one (inactive) variation and plentyone_update_variation changes a variation's name, number, model, active flag, weight or dimensions. Both change the live catalogue that feeds your shop and marketplaces, so an admin turns them on deliberately and the AI shows the change and waits for a yes.

Limits and errors: plentyONE allows about 200 reads and 80 writes per user and minute on Expand and Scale plans and answers 429 above that; wait a minute. 401 means a wrong username or password, or a user without API access. 403 lists the missing right in missing_permissions (e.g. order.show): add it to the user's role. 404 on every call means a wrong PLENTYONE_URL.
