前提条件
完整的设置说明已内置在连接器中 (在 store 中选择连接器时可见)。所需环境变量:

步骤 1 — 获取凭证
- 打开 Pinecone 控制台
https://app.pinecone.io，选择项目，打开 API keys，点击 + API key。 - 选择权限。只读使用请选 ProjectViewer（或 ControlPlaneViewer 加 DataPlaneViewer）：搜索、嵌入、重新排序和 Assistant 对话都能正常使用。只有允许 AI 写入记录时，才给密钥编辑角色（ProjectEditor 或 DataPlaneEditor）。Starter 和 Builder 套餐只提供 All。
- 把密钥复制到
PINECONE_API_KEY，然后安装连接器。Pinecone 只显示一次密钥，通常以pcsk_开头。一个密钥对应一个项目，连接器只会把它发送到 pinecone.io。 - 用
pinecone_list_indexes检查设置：它会列出你的索引、状态，以及数据工具需要的index_host。
索引地址：每个索引都有自己的地址。AI 会先调用 pinecone_list_indexes 或 pinecone_describe_index，再把得到的 index_host 传给每次搜索、查询和写入。你不需要自己去查。
每种索引对应的搜索：用哪个工具由索引的结构决定。
- 集成索引（用托管嵌入模型创建）：
pinecone_search_records直接用文本搜索。 - 文档索引（较新的类型，字段有类型）：
pinecone_search_documents结合关键词搜索和语义搜索。 - 存放你自己向量的索引：
pinecone_query_vectors查找与某条已存记录相似的记录，或与pinecone_embed用索引同一模型生成的向量相似的记录。
pinecone_fetch_vectors 和 pinecone_list_vector_ids 按 ID 读取记录；pinecone_describe_index_stats 和 pinecone_list_namespaces 统计记录数。向量值从不传给 AI，只传 ID、分数和元数据。
Pinecone Inference 和 Assistant：pinecone_list_models、pinecone_embed 和 pinecone_rerank 使用 Pinecone 托管的模型，例如按相关性重新排列搜索结果。通过 pinecone_list_assistants 和 pinecone_chat_assistant，AI 可以向你的某个 Pinecone Assistant 提问；回答依据上传给它的文件，附带引用，可能需要 10 到 30 秒。
写入前先询问：pinecone_upsert_records 在集成索引中添加或替换文本记录（每次最多 96 条），pinecone_update_metadata 修改一条记录的元数据。每次写入前，AI 会给你看索引、命名空间以及记录或字段，等你同意后才执行。新记录几秒钟后即可被搜索到。
安装时默认关闭：pinecone_delete_vectors，因为删除的记录无法恢复。管理员需要有意识地开启它；即使开启，AI 也会先列出 ID 并在删除前询问你。
费用：搜索、查询和读取消耗 Pinecone 套餐的读取单位，写入消耗写入单位；嵌入、重新排序和 Assistant 对话按 token 或按请求计费。除非你要求更多，AI 会尽量少取结果。
常见错误：401（Invalid API key 或 Wrong API key）：密钥错误、已删除或属于其他项目。403：密钥的角色不允许此操作，例如用只读密钥写入。404：索引、命名空间或 Assistant 不存在；pinecone_list_indexes 和 pinecone_list_assistants 会显示正确的名称。文本搜索返回 400：该索引不是集成索引，AI 需要使用与其类型相符的搜索。429：速率或套餐限制；稍等片刻再试。
该连接器不会创建、配置或删除索引、集合和备份，不做批量导入，不上传或删除 Assistant 文件，也不管理项目和 API 密钥。
步骤 2 — 安装 adapter

步骤 3 — 在 ChatGPT 中添加连接器
你的服务器 URL： 在 AnythingMCP 中打开 MCP Servers → 此连接器所在的服务器，复制它的 URL（
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…）。本指南中出现YOUR_SERVER_ID的地方都用它替换。
ChatGPT 在网页版的 Plugins 页面把 MCP 服务器添加为插件，仅付费套餐可用，不再需要开发者模式。在 Business 工作区中只有管理员和所有者可以添加；在 Enterprise 和 Edu 中，管理员可以授予 Create plugins with MCPs 权限。
- 前往 chatgpt.com/plugins，点击 +，然后选择 Add custom MCP server。
- 填写名称，例如 Name:
Pinecone。 - 在 Connection 下的 Server URL 中填入
