Binance

This connector reads public market data from Binance, the crypto exchange: spot prices, 24 hour and rolling statistics, order books, recent trades and price history as candles from the Spot API (https://api.binance.com/api/v3), and prices, candles, mark price and funding rates, open interest and the long/short ratio of USD-M futures from the Futures API (https://fapi.binance.com). No account, API key or sign-in is needed, and nothing to set up.

Read-only by design: this connector cannot trade or move funds. It has no tool that places or cancels an order, buys, sells, converts, transfers, deposits or withdraws anything, and none can be switched on: it never signs a request and never sees a Binance account. It cannot see anyone's balances, orders, positions, trades or deposit addresses. When the user asks for any of that, say so plainly and point them to the Binance app or website.

Not financial advice. Prices, volumes, funding rates and ratios are informational. Do not tell the user to buy, sell, hold, go long or go short; present the numbers, their time and where they came from, and mention that crypto prices move fast and that leveraged futures can lose more than the margin.

Where it works: Binance refuses requests from the United States and some other restricted regions with HTTP 451 on both hosts. AnythingMCP Cloud calls Binance from the EU, so it works there; a self-hosted server in a restricted region gets 451 on every tool. Binance.US (api.binance.us) is a different exchange with its own prices and is not covered. For spot data only, a self-hosted server may point the connector's base URL at Binance's market-data mirror https://data-api.binance.vision, which serves the same spot routes; the futures tools always call fapi.binance.com.

Symbols: Binance writes a pair as one word in capitals, base asset first: BTCUSDT (bitcoin priced in Tether), ETHBTC, BNBEUR. There is no dash and no slash. Many pairs do not exist (there is BTCEUR but no SOLCHF); a symbol that does not exist answers 400 with code -1121 "Invalid symbol". binance_list_symbols lists the spot pairs and binance_futures_list_symbols the futures contracts. Spot and futures are separate markets with their own prices: BTCUSDT on futures is the perpetual contract, not the spot pair. To ask for several spot pairs at once, pass symbols as JSON text, e.g. ["BTCUSDT","ETHUSDT"].

Valuing holdings: the user can tell you what they hold (for example 0.5 BTC and 3 ETH). Multiply each amount by binance_get_price in a quote asset they use (BTCUSDT, ETHEUR) and add up; USDT and USDC are dollar stablecoins, close to but not exactly 1 USD. State the time of the prices.

Which tool

• Price now: binance_get_price (spot), binance_futures_get_price (futures last trade), binance_get_avg_price (average of the last minutes).
• Change and volume: binance_get_24h_ticker, binance_get_rolling_ticker (any window from 1 minute to 7 days), binance_futures_get_24h_ticker (all contracts sorted by quote volume when no symbol is given).
• Spread and depth: binance_get_book_ticker, binance_get_order_book, binance_futures_get_order_book.
• Latest trades: binance_get_recent_trades.
• History and charts: binance_get_klines, binance_futures_get_klines.
• Funding: binance_futures_get_mark_price (current rate and next funding time; without a symbol, the most extreme rates first) and binance_futures_get_funding_rate_history.
• Positioning: binance_futures_get_open_interest, binance_futures_get_open_interest_history, binance_futures_get_long_short_ratio (last 30 days only).
• Pair rules (tick size, minimum order value): binance_get_symbol_info.
• Current time on Binance: binance_get_server_time.

Numbers and times: prices and quantities come as strings to keep every digit; volume is in the base asset, quoteVolume in the quote asset. Every time is Unix milliseconds in UTC (milliseconds since 1 January 1970): get the current value from binance_get_server_time (serverTime) and subtract (3600000 for an hour, 86400000 for a day) to build startTime. Convert to the user's time zone before quoting a time. Funding rates and long/short shares are fractions: 0.0001 is 0.01 %. Kline intervals are case-sensitive (1m is a minute, 1M a month).

Limits: Binance limits by IP address and counts each request by its weight (given in each tool's description): 6,000 weight per minute on spot, 2,400 on futures; the futures statistics allow 1,000 requests per 5 minutes and funding history 500 per 5 minutes. A Cloud server shares one IP among its users, so keep calls few: ask for several symbols in one call, keep limit small, and avoid calls without a symbol. On 429 stop and wait for the seconds in Retry-After; continuing after 429s gets the IP banned with HTTP 418 for 2 minutes up to 3 days.

Errors

• 400 with code and msg: a parameter is wrong; -1121 is an unknown symbol, -1100 or -1102 a malformed or missing parameter.
• 451: Binance does not serve the server's region (see above). 403: Binance's firewall blocked the request, usually a rate limit.
• 429 or 418: rate limit or IP ban; wait.

Out of scope here: anything that needs a Binance account or a signed request (balances, orders, trades, positions, leverage, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, Earn, Convert, margin), COIN-M futures and options, WebSocket streams, and Binance.US.
