Money Forward Cloud Invoice

This connector uses the マネーフォワード クラウド請求書 API v3 (Money Forward Cloud Invoice, https://invoice.moneyforward.com/api/v3): your business details, partners (取引先) with their billing departments, items (品目), billings (請求書) in the qualified invoice format, quotes (見積書), payment and order status and the sending history.

Money Forward has separate APIs per product. This connector covers Cloud Invoice only. マネーフォワード クラウド会計 (Accounting: journals, accounts, trial balance) has its own API at api-accounting.moneyforward.com and an official MCP server; クラウド請求書Plus, 会計Plus and 債務支払 have their own APIs, partly on request.

Setup (about 10 minutes)

1. Sign in to the Money Forward Cloud アプリポータル (App Portal) at https://app-portal.moneyforward.com with a user of the business that may manage apps (アプリ連携権限), and register a new app.
2. Enter a name, the redirect URI https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/api/mcp-oauth/callback on AnythingMCP Cloud, or <your AnythingMCP server URL>/api/mcp-oauth/callback when you host AnythingMCP yourself, and as クライアント認証方式 (client authentication) choose CLIENT_SECRET_BASIC.
3. Copy the Client ID into MONEY_FORWARD_CLIENT_ID and the Client Secret into MONEY_FORWARD_CLIENT_SECRET, leave MONEY_FORWARD_REFRESH_TOKEN empty and install.
4. Click Authorize with Provider, sign in to Money Forward and pick the business (事業者). The connector asks for mfc/invoice/data.read mfc/invoice/data.write; the authorization belongs to the business, not to one user. Run money_forward_invoice_get_office to check.

Workflow

• Business: money_forward_invoice_get_office (name, address, registration number).
• Partners: money_forward_invoice_list_partners, money_forward_invoice_get_partner, money_forward_invoice_create_partner, money_forward_invoice_update_partner. Billings and quotes are addressed to a partner department (請求先), not to the partner: money_forward_invoice_list_partner_departments, money_forward_invoice_get_partner_department, money_forward_invoice_create_partner_department, money_forward_invoice_update_partner_department.
• Items: money_forward_invoice_list_items, money_forward_invoice_get_item, money_forward_invoice_create_item, money_forward_invoice_update_item.
• Billings: money_forward_invoice_list_billings (headers and totals, no lines), money_forward_invoice_get_billing (full), money_forward_invoice_create_billing (draft with lines), money_forward_invoice_update_billing (header), money_forward_invoice_list_billing_items, money_forward_invoice_add_billing_item, money_forward_invoice_remove_billing_item for lines, money_forward_invoice_update_billing_payment_status to mark paid. Show the partner, lines and total and wait for the user's yes before creating or changing one.
• Quotes: money_forward_invoice_list_quotes, money_forward_invoice_get_quote, money_forward_invoice_create_quote, money_forward_invoice_update_quote, money_forward_invoice_add_quote_item, money_forward_invoice_update_quote_order_status, then money_forward_invoice_convert_quote_to_billing when the order comes in.
• History: money_forward_invoice_list_sent_histories.
• Sending by email is not part of the API: the documents stay drafts until someone sends them in Money Forward. money_forward_invoice_post_billing orders paid postal mailing.

Reading answers: lists return data and pagination (total_count, total_pages, current_page, per_page); page with page and per_page (up to 100). Amounts are JPY and come as strings (total_price: "11000"); dates are YYYY-MM-DD, times ISO 8601 in JST. Ids are opaque strings. payment_status reads 未設定, 未入金, 入金済み; is_locked true means the billing can no longer be edited. Tax categories (excise): ten_percent, eight_percent_as_reduced_tax_rate, eight_percent, five_percent, tax_exemption, non_taxable, untaxable.

Errors: 401 means the token expired or was revoked (authorize again); 403 that the app or the user lacks permission or the business is not on a plan with API access; 404 a wrong id; 400 or 422 a validation error whose message names the field (for example a missing excise on a line without item_id).

Switched off at install: money_forward_invoice_delete_billing, money_forward_invoice_delete_quote and money_forward_invoice_post_billing; they cannot be undone (a deletion is final, a posting order sends paper and costs money), so an admin switches them on when the team needs them.
