Query CoinGecko (crypto prices, market data, historical, exchanges, NFT floor prices) from any AI agent. 8 tools, optional API-key auth.
Voraussetzungen
Die vollständige Setup-Anleitung ist in den Connector eingebaut (im Store sichtbar, wenn du den Connector auswählst). Benötigte Umgebungsvariablen für diesen Connector:
(none — public API)
Schritt 1 — Zugangsdaten holen
This connector wraps the CoinGecko REST API.
Setup:
- The PUBLIC API (api.coingecko.com/api/v3) requires NO API key but is harshly rate-limited (~10-30 calls/min) and missing some endpoints.
- For higher throughput, sign up for the free DEMO plan at https://www.coingecko.com/en/developers/dashboard → create an
x-cg-demo-api-key. This raises the limit to 30 calls/min and stays free. - Paid PRO plans use a different host (pro-api.coingecko.com) and header
x-cg-pro-api-key— switch baseUrl + auth header accordingly. - Set
COINGECKO_API_KEYif you have one; leave unset for anonymous public access.
…(continued in the in-app connector instructions)
Schritt 2 — Adapter installieren
git clone https://github.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp.git
cd anythingmcp && docker compose up -d
Schritt 3 — Connector in Cursor hinzufügen
Cursor liest MCP-Server aus ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Füge diesen Eintrag hinzu:
{
"mcpServers": {
"anythingmcp": {
"url": "https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_MCP_API_KEY" }
}
}
}
- Hole deinen MCP API Key aus AnythingMCP → Profil → MCP API Keys → Neuer Key.
- Speichern und Cursor neu starten.
- Cursor → Einstellungen → MCP öffnen und prüfen, ob
CoinGeckoals "Connected" gelistet ist. - Chatten — alle
CoinGecko-Tools sind aufrufbar.
