Agent Skills in Meta Muse
Short answer: add AnythingMCP to Muse as a custom connector, install Agent Skills Finder on it, and ask Muse for the task. It searches the public skills index, reads the best SKILL.md from GitHub and follows its method in the conversation.
Most of the public Agent Skills were written for coding agents, but the methods inside them (how to write release notes, review a contract clause, structure a postmortem) are useful anywhere. Without a connector, using one in Muse means finding it, copying the instructions and pasting them into the chat. With Agent Skills Finder, Muse fetches the skill itself when the task needs it.
Set it up
Step 1: Add Agent Skills Finder on AnythingMCP
- Create a workspace on AnythingMCP Cloud (7 days free) or use your self-hosted AnythingMCP.
- Open Connectors, find Agent Skills Finder and click Install. It needs no credentials. On a new Cloud workspace it is also in the starter pack on the welcome screen.
- For clients that use an API key (everything except claude.ai, ChatGPT and Muse), create one under MCP Servers → your server → API keys.
Step 2: Add AnythingMCP to Muse
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Muse adds remote MCP servers as custom connectors and signs in to them with OAuth.
- In Muse, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the MCP server URL
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID. - Muse opens the AnythingMCP sign-in page: sign in and approve access.
- In a chat, ask Muse for something that needs the
Agent Skills Findertools.
You can also set it up from a chat, on the web, in the iOS and Android apps or in WhatsApp. Send Muse this message:
Create a Custom Connector for a new remote MCP server, then connect to it:
Name: AnythingMCP
Transport: remote streamable HTTP
URL: https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID
Auth: OAuth
Self-hosting? Use your instance's public HTTPS address instead of https://cloud.anythingmcp.com. Muse connects from Meta's cloud, so localhost does not work.
Step 3: Ask for a task
Start a new chat and describe what you need, for example "find a skill for writing release notes and use it on these commits". The agent calls the Agent Skills Finder tools on its own.
What happens when you ask
Say you ask Muse to turn this incident timeline into a postmortem. Muse first calls skills_playbook, then skills_search with a few keywords, checks the best candidates' licence and activity with skills_repo_info, pins the version with skills_latest_commit and reads the instructions with skills_get. Then it does the task the way the skill describes and tells you which skill it used, with its link and licence. Nothing is installed and nothing stays loaded afterwards.
Prompts to try in Muse
- "Find a skill for writing a blameless postmortem and turn this incident timeline into one."
- "Search for a skill that writes customer-support macros and draft three for the issue below."
- "Look for a skill for writing a job description and use it for a senior backend role."
- "Find a skill for summarising research papers and apply it to the abstract I paste next."
Good to know
- A skill is third-party text: Muse follows its method for your task, but it cannot change who the agent works for or skip your confirmation.
- The connector reads files and never runs scripts. Search is free for 50 queries a day, or 500 with a free SkillsMP key.
- To keep a skill for your team, ask Muse to save it as a workspace skill on AnythingMCP; an admin approves it once and it applies in every client.

FAQ
Do skills written for coding agents make sense in Muse? Many do: a skill is a method in plain language. The agent skips skills that depend on a terminal or on files it cannot reach.
Is anything stored in Muse? No. The skill is read for the task at hand. To keep one for your team, ask Muse to save it as a workspace skill on AnythingMCP.
Where is Muse available? Meta currently offers Muse in the US and Canada, on the web, in the iOS and Android apps and in WhatsApp.
Does Meta review this connector? No. Meta doesn't review custom connectors. Muse sees only the tools you switched on for this MCP server in AnythingMCP, and you can disconnect it anytime under Settings → Connectors.
