Prerequisites

Step 1 — Get credentials

The connector uses the Bing Webmaster API with one API key per user, valid for all of that user's verified sites.

1. In Bing Webmaster Tools click Settings (top right) and open API Access. Accept the terms on first use.
2. Click API Key, then Generate API Key, and copy the key into BING_WEBMASTER_API_KEY. It is sent as the apikey query parameter. Deleting the key and generating a new one breaks every integration that uses the old key.
3. Make sure the site is added and verified in Bing Webmaster Tools before you query it; sites can be imported from Google Search Console there.
4. Call bing_webmaster_list_sites first. Every site tool needs site_url exactly as listed, with scheme and trailing slash (https://www.example.com/). Then bing_webmaster_get_rank_and_traffic_stats for the trend, bing_webmaster_get_query_stats and bing_webmaster_get_page_stats for the top queries and pages, and bing_webmaster_get_crawl_issues for problems.

Search performance covers roughly the last six months, and query and page lists hold the top entries, not every query. Dates come back as /Date(1759276800000)/, milliseconds since 1970 UTC. bing_webmaster_submit_url and bing_webmaster_submit_url_batch (up to 500 URLs per call) spend the daily submission quota, so check bing_webmaster_get_url_submission_quota first. A missing or wrong key answers HTTP 400 with ErrorCode 3, InvalidApiKey.

Step 2 — Install the adapter

Step 3 — Add the connector in Cursor

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

Cursor reads MCP servers from ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Add this entry:

1. Create an MCP API key in AnythingMCP under MCP Servers → your server → API keys, and paste it in place of YOUR_MCP_API_KEY.
2. Save the file and restart Cursor.
3. Open Cursor → Settings → MCP and check that anythingmcp is listed and connected.
4. Start chatting — the agent can now call the Bing Webmaster Tools tools.
