Bugsnag + Cursor

Prerequisites

See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:

BUGSNAG_AUTH_TOKEN

Step 1 — Get credentials

This connector wraps the Bugsnag Data Access API (api.bugsnag.com).

Setup:

  1. Log into https://app.bugsnag.com → bottom-left profile → My Account → Personal Auth Tokens → Generate.
  2. Pick the scopes you need (project errors, project events, project release groups, project comments, project pivots).
  3. Set BUGSNAG_AUTH_TOKEN.

Authentication: every request sends Authorization: token ${BUGSNAG_AUTH_TOKEN} AND X-Version: 2. The adapter wires both for you.

…(continued in the in-app connector instructions)

Step 2 — Install the adapter

git clone https://github.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp.git
cd anythingmcp && docker compose up -d

Step 3 — Add the connector in Cursor

Cursor reads MCP servers from ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Add this entry:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "anythingmcp": {
      "url": "https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_MCP_API_KEY" }
    }
  }
}
  1. Get your MCP API key from AnythingMCP → Profile → MCP API Keys → New Key.
  2. Save the file and restart Cursor.
  3. Open Cursor → Settings → MCP to verify Bugsnag is listed and "Connected".
  4. Start chatting — all Bugsnag tools are now invokable.
