Connect ImmobilienScout24 to Copilot
ImmobilienScout24 is Germany's largest real estate portal. With AnythingMCP, Copilot searches its listings through the official ImmobilienScout24 REST API: you describe what you are looking for, Copilot finds the area code, runs the search and reads the exposés for you.
The connector has three read-only tools for public listing search. It does not manage your own listings or leads (see the FAQ below).
What you can ask Copilot
- "Find 2-room apartments to rent in Berlin Mitte for at most €1,200 a month." Uses
is24_search_locationsto get the GeoCode for Berlin Mitte, thenis24_search_propertieswith typeapartmentrent,price_max1200 andnumberofrooms_min2. - "Look up the GeoCode for Hamburg Altona." Uses
is24_search_locations. - "Houses for sale in Freiburg with at least 120 m² of living space, up to €750,000." Uses
is24_search_locations, thenis24_search_propertieswith typehousebuy,livingspace_minandprice_max. - "Show me exposé 123456789 in full: description, features, energy certificate, contact." Uses
is24_get_property. - "Office space to rent in München Schwabing, show me the second page of results." Uses
is24_search_propertieswith typeofficeandpagenumber2. - "From those results, rank the five cheapest per square metre." Copilot works this out from the search results it already has.
What you need
- An ImmobilienScout24 business account. ImmobilienScout24 grants API access only to business accounts; private accounts cannot get it.
- An API key set from the IS24 self-service portal. The key goes into
IS24_CONSUMER_KEY, the secret intoIS24_CONSUMER_SECRET. - The right environment. You can generate keys for the sandbox (free, for testing, with anonymised test data) and for production (live listings). The connector calls the production API by default.
- For production: you accept the API Terms of Use, usage is charged according to ImmobilienScout24's price list, and some use cases need partner approval first, which is not instant.
ImmobilienScout24 still uses OAuth 1.0a, where every request has to be signed. AnythingMCP signs each call with your key pair (two-legged, app-only), so there is no token to exchange or refresh.
Step 1 — Get your IS24 credentials
- Go to the IS24 self-service portal.
- Log in with, or create, an ImmobilienScout24 business account.
- Generate an API key set: sandbox for testing and/or production for live data.
- Copy the API key and the secret.
Step 2 — Install the connector
On AnythingMCP Cloud, open Connectors, pick ImmobilienScout24 API and paste the key into IS24_CONSUMER_KEY and the secret into IS24_CONSUMER_SECRET.
To self-host instead, start AnythingMCP with Docker, then install the connector from http://localhost:3000/connectors/store:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add it to Microsoft Copilot
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Microsoft Copilot uses MCP servers through agents built in Copilot Studio: you add AnythingMCP to an agent as a tool, then publish the agent to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams. Copilot Studio connects from Microsoft's cloud over Streamable HTTP, which AnythingMCP supports.
- In Copilot Studio, open your agent (or create one), go to Tools and choose Add a tool → New tool → Model Context Protocol.
- Enter a Server name (for example
AnythingMCP), a Server description that says what the connector does, and the Server URLhttps://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID. Copilot Studio uses the description to decide when to call the server. - Under authentication, choose API key, set Type to Header and the header name to
X-API-Key, then select Create. - In Add tool, choose Create a new connection, paste an MCP API key from AnythingMCP (MCP Servers → your server → API keys) and select Add to agent.
- Try it in the agent's Test pane: ask for something that needs the
ImmobilienScout24tools. - Select Publish, then Channels → Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, keep Make agent available in Microsoft Copilot selected and choose Add channel. See agent in Teams installs it for you; in Microsoft 365 Copilot, type @ and pick the agent.
Prefer per-user sign-in? Choose OAuth 2.0 → Dynamic discovery instead of an API key: each user then signs in to AnythingMCP the first time the agent calls it.
Self-hosting? Use your instance's public HTTPS address instead of https://cloud.anythingmcp.com. Copilot Studio connects from Microsoft's cloud, so localhost does not work.
Available Tools
| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
is24_search_properties | Search listings by GeoCode and property type (apartmentrent, apartmentbuy, houserent, housebuy, office, store, gastronomy), with optional price range, minimum living space, minimum rooms and page number; 20 results per page |
is24_search_locations | Find the GeoCode for a place name, which the search needs |
is24_get_property | Get full property details by exposé ID |
Troubleshooting
- Every call is rejected straight away. Sandbox keys only work against the sandbox, and the connector calls the production API. Use production keys, or change the connector's base URL to
https://rest.sandbox-immobilienscout24.de/restapi/apiwhile you test. Also check that key and secret are not swapped: the signature is built from both. - Production keys exist, but calls are still refused. Some use cases need partner approval before ImmobilienScout24 opens production access. Check the status of your key set in the self-service portal.
- The search finds nothing, or the wrong town.
is24_search_propertiesneeds a GeoCode, not a place name. Ask Copilot to resolve the place withis24_search_locationsfirst, and pick the right entry if several places share a name. - Too many requests at once. ImmobilienScout24 limits how often each key may call the API (see Rate Limiting in its developer portal). Ask for fewer result pages in one go.
FAQ
Can Copilot manage my own listings or leads on ImmobilienScout24? No. The connector signs requests app-only (two-legged), which covers public listing search and exposé lookup. Acting on your own objects or leads needs user-context access, which this connector does not expose.
Is it free? AnythingMCP is open source under AGPL-3.0, so self-hosting is free, including commercial use inside your own company. AnythingMCP Cloud comes with a 7-day free trial. On the ImmobilienScout24 side, sandbox keys are free, and production use is charged according to ImmobilienScout24's price list.
Is my data stored by AnythingMCP? Your IS24 key and secret are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) in your workspace and are never shown to Copilot. When Copilot uses a tool, AnythingMCP calls ImmobilienScout24 and passes the result to Copilot, and the call is recorded in your workspace's audit log. AnythingMCP Cloud is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
Which Copilot is this for? Microsoft 365 Copilot at work, through agents built in Copilot Studio. The Microsoft Copilot app for personal accounts has no option to add your own MCP server.
What do I need? A work account with access to Copilot Studio (a license or a trial) to build the agent. People who use it in Microsoft 365 Copilot or Teams need access to the agent: share it with them, or ask an admin to publish it to the organization. If your organization applies data policies to Power Platform connectors, they cover MCP servers too.
The agent doesn't call the tools. Check that the header name is exactly X-API-Key and that the key belongs to the same MCP server as the URL, and make the server description specific: Copilot Studio uses it to decide when to call the server. Publish the agent again after each change; in an open chat, type "start over" to get the new version.
