ImmobilienScout24 is Germany's largest real estate portal. AnythingMCP wraps its official REST API (rest.immobilienscout24.de) as an MCP server with three tools, so Claude, ChatGPT or any other MCP client can search listings, resolve locations and read full exposés.

The three tools work as a chain: resolve a place to a GeoCode, search that GeoCode, then open individual exposés. Your AI agent does this on its own once the connector is installed.

Quick Setup with Built-in Adapter

Step 1: Deploy AnythingMCP

Use AnythingMCP Cloud (7-day free trial) or self-host with Docker:

Step 2: Import the ImmobilienScout24 Adapter

On Cloud, open Connectors; self-hosted, open http://localhost:3000/connectors/store. Click Import on the ImmobilienScout24 API adapter and enter your IS24 API key and secret when prompted.

Step 3: Get API Access

ImmobilienScout24 uses OAuth 1.0a (AnythingMCP signs requests for you). To get a key pair:

1. Go to the IS24 self-service portal and log in with — or create — an ImmobilienScout24 business account (non-business accounts cannot get API access).
2. Generate an API key set — sandbox for testing, production for live data (production requires accepting the API Terms and may need partner approval; usage follows IS24's price list).
3. Paste the API key into IS24_CONSUMER_KEY and the secret into IS24_CONSUMER_SECRET.

Step 4: Connect to Your AI Agent

Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide shows YOUR_SERVER_ID.

Point your MCP client at your AnythingMCP MCP URL: https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID on Cloud, or your own base URL plus /mcp when self-hosting (for example http://localhost:4000/mcp on the quickstart). For Claude, the full steps are in Connect ImmobilienScout24 to Claude.

What you need

• An ImmobilienScout24 business account with an API key set.
• Sandbox or production keys that match the API the connector calls. The connector is set to production (rest.immobilienscout24.de); the sandbox lives at rest.sandbox-immobilienscout24.de, has its own anonymised data and needs its own keys.
• For production: accepted API Terms of Use, IS24's price list, and partner approval where your use case requires it.

The connector signs app-only (two-legged). That covers public listing search and lookup; managing your own objects or leads (three-legged, user context) is not part of it.

Troubleshooting

• All requests fail with an authentication error. The key set doesn't match the environment (sandbox keys against production or the other way round), or key and secret are swapped. Both values go into the OAuth 1.0a signature, so either mistake breaks every call.
• Production access refused with valid keys. Your use case may still be waiting for partner approval. The self-service portal shows the state of your key set.
• Empty results. The search needs a GeoCode. If the agent passed a place name, have it call is24_search_locations first.
• Throttled requests. ImmobilienScout24 applies rate limits per key (documented under Rate Limiting in its developer portal). Fetch fewer pages per question.

FAQ

Is this the official ImmobilienScout24 API? Yes. The connector calls ImmobilienScout24's own REST API at rest.immobilienscout24.de with keys you generate in its self-service portal. It does not scrape the website.

Does it work in Claude Desktop and Claude Code? Yes. A custom connector you add on claude.ai is also available in Claude Desktop, and Claude Code adds the same URL with claude mcp add --transport http. Other clients that support remote MCP servers connect to the same URL.

Is it free? AnythingMCP is open source under AGPL-3.0, so self-hosting is free, including commercial use inside your own company. AnythingMCP Cloud comes with a 7-day free trial. ImmobilienScout24 sandbox keys are free; production use is charged according to ImmobilienScout24's price list.

Is my data stored by AnythingMCP? Your IS24 key and secret are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and are never passed to the AI client. Tool results go to the AI client you connected, and every call is recorded in your workspace's audit log. AnythingMCP Cloud is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
