Packlink PRO + Gemini
Packlink PRO multi-carrier shipping: quote parcels across carriers, look up services and drop-off points, read sender addresses and parcel presets, create shipment drafts, and read shipments, labels and tracking with the Packlink PRO API key.
Prerequisites
See the full setup instructions baked into the connector (visible in the in-app store when you select the connector). The required environment variables for this connector are:
PACKLINK_API_KEY
Step 1 — Get credentials
Setting up takes about 2 minutes. You need a Packlink PRO business account.
- Sign in at https://pro.packlink.com, open Settings (top right) and choose Packlink PRO API key in the left menu.
- Click Generate API key, or copy the existing one, and paste it into
PACKLINK_API_KEY. The key stays valid until it is regenerated, and the shop plugins of the same account can share it. - Install the connector and run
packlink_get_accountto check the key.
The connector uses the Packlink API that Packlink's own shop plugins (WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento, Shopware) use. Packlink PRO is available in Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland and other countries.
Quoting a parcel: the AI reads your sender addresses (warehouses) and saved parcel sizes, then searches the services of every carrier for one parcel from the sender's postal code to the recipient's, with its weight and size. It compares the total price including tax, the transit time and the first estimated delivery date. If no service comes back, it checks the postal codes. For services with drop-off it lists the ten closest parcel shops or lockers.
Preparing a shipment: packlink_create_draft_shipment creates a draft with sender, recipient, parcels, contents and, ideally, the chosen service, and returns the shipment reference. The draft is neither paid nor booked: you complete and pay it in Packlink PRO under Shipments, which also asks for customs data for shipments leaving the EU customs union.
After payment: the AI reads the shipment state, the carrier tracking numbers and costs, the PDF label links (from state READY_TO_PRINT on) and the carrier's tracking events.
Confirm before writes: the only write is the draft, which costs nothing until you pay it in Packlink PRO; the AI still shows the addresses, parcels and service before it creates one.
Formats: weights are kilograms, dimensions whole centimetres, and prices are in the account currency (usually EUR or GBP), with total_price including tax. Country codes are two-letter ISO codes. Quotes are a snapshot: the price charged is the one Packlink PRO shows at payment.
Common errors: 401 or 403 means the API key is wrong or was regenerated; 400 and 422 return messages with the fields Packlink rejected, for example a postal code that does not match the country; 404 means an unknown shipment reference or service id.
The connector does not list all shipments or carriers: it reads shipments by reference, so keep the reference of the draft or copy it from Packlink PRO. Paying, cancelling and booking pickups stay in Packlink PRO.
Step 2 — Install the adapter
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml -o docker-compose.yml
printf 'JWT_SECRET=%s\nENCRYPTION_KEY=%s\n' "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" "$(openssl rand -hex 32)" > .env
docker compose up -d
Step 3 — Add the connector in Gemini
Your server URL: in AnythingMCP, open MCP Servers → the server this connector is on, and copy its URL (
https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/…). Use it wherever this guide showsYOUR_SERVER_ID.
Gemini CLI reads MCP servers from ~/.gemini/settings.json (on Windows %USERPROFILE%\.gemini\settings.json). Add:
{
"mcpServers": {
"anythingmcp": {
"httpUrl": "https://cloud.anythingmcp.com/mcp/YOUR_SERVER_ID",
"headers": { "X-API-Key": "YOUR_MCP_API_KEY" }
}
}
}
- Create an MCP API key in AnythingMCP under MCP Servers → your server → API keys, and paste it in place of
YOUR_MCP_API_KEY. - Save the file and restart
gemini. - Run
/mcpinside Gemini CLI (orgemini mcp listin your shell):anythingmcpshould show as connected. - Start prompting: Gemini CLI can now call the
Packlink PROtools.

FAQ
Where does Gemini CLI look for MCP servers? In ~/.gemini/settings.json for your user, or in .gemini/settings.json inside a project. gemini mcp list shows each server and whether it connects.
