CoinGlass

This connector reads crypto derivatives and market data from the CoinGlass API v4 (https://open-api-v4.coinglass.com): futures open interest, funding rates, long/short ratios, liquidations, options max pain, spot ETF flows and market indicators such as the stablecoin market cap, the Fear & Greed Index and the Coinbase premium. Everything is read-only.

Setup (2 minutes)

1. CoinGlass API access needs a paid API plan (Hobbyist and up) at https://www.coinglass.com/pricing.
2. Open your account's API Key page (https://www.coinglass.com/account), copy the key into COINGLASS_API_KEY. It is sent in the CG-API-KEY header.
3. Run coinglass_get_account_subscription to check the key and see the plan.

Plans and limits: requests per minute depend on the plan (Hobbyist 30, Startup 80, Standard 300, Professional 1200). History tools limit the interval on the smaller plans: Hobbyist only 4h and longer, Startup 30m and longer, Standard and up any interval. History depth per interval also grows with the plan; daily data goes back to the start on every plan. A call outside the plan answers with an error message in the body; switch to a longer interval rather than retrying.

Symbols: coin or pair

• Coin-level tools take a coin as symbol (BTC, ETH): coinglass_get_aggregated_open_interest_history, coinglass_list_open_interest_by_exchange, coinglass_get_oi_weighted_funding_rate_history, coinglass_get_aggregated_liquidation_history, coinglass_get_pairs_markets, coinglass_get_option_max_pain. coinglass_list_supported_coins lists the coins.
• Pair-level tools take an exchange (Binance, OKX, Bybit, spelled as coinglass_list_supported_exchanges returns) and a pair as symbol (BTCUSDT): coinglass_get_price_history, coinglass_get_open_interest_history, coinglass_get_funding_rate_history, coinglass_get_global_long_short_account_ratio, coinglass_get_top_long_short_account_ratio, coinglass_get_top_long_short_position_ratio, coinglass_get_liquidation_history. coinglass_list_exchange_pairs lists the pairs of an exchange.

Workflow

• Positioning of a coin: coinglass_get_aggregated_open_interest_history (all exchanges) and coinglass_list_open_interest_by_exchange (where it sits now), coinglass_get_oi_weighted_funding_rate_history for crowding, coinglass_list_funding_rates_by_exchange for the current rates, coinglass_get_global_long_short_account_ratio and the two top-trader ratios on Binance, coinglass_get_liquidation_history or coinglass_get_aggregated_liquidation_history for forced closes.
• Market overview: coinglass_get_pairs_markets for every pair of a coin with price, volume, open interest and funding.
• Flows and sentiment: coinglass_get_bitcoin_etf_flows, coinglass_get_ethereum_etf_flows, coinglass_list_bitcoin_etfs, coinglass_get_stablecoin_market_cap_history, coinglass_get_coinbase_premium_index, coinglass_get_fear_greed_history.
• Options: coinglass_get_option_max_pain.

History tools take interval (required), limit (points, maximum 1000), and optionally start_time / end_time in Unix milliseconds. Ask for only what you need, e.g. interval: 1d, limit: 30 for a month of daily points. Returned time values are milliseconds, except the Coinbase premium, the stablecoin market cap and the Fear & Greed lists, which use seconds. Funding rates are in percent per funding interval (0.01 means 0.01%).

Errors: CoinGlass answers HTTP 200 with a code other than "0" when something is wrong: 401 or "Invalid API key" for a missing or wrong key, 429 when the per-minute limit is used up, 400 for a wrong parameter or a call the plan does not include.
