Seamless.AI (Public API v1)

This connector calls the Seamless.AI Public API at https://api.seamless.ai/api/client/v1 with an API key in the Token header: search the B2B database for contacts and companies, research (enrich) them to get verified emails and phone numbers, poll the results, and read records already in your org.

Setup. Sign in at login.seamless.ai, open Settings, Public API, tab API Key, click Create New Connection and copy the key at once (it is shown one time). The Public API menu appears only when the account has Public API access; otherwise ask your Seamless administrator or support.

Credits. Search and research spend the same credit balance. Search costs 1 credit for every started block of 10 results returned (1 to 10 results: 1 credit; a page with no rows is free); if the balance cannot pay for limit, the page is shortened. Research costs 1 credit per record submitted. Polling, reading org records, location lookup and seamless_ai_get_me are free. The remaining balance is in the X-PublicAPI-Credits response header and in the app under Settings, Billing. Keep limit small (default here 10) and do not run the same search twice: store the searchResultId values.

Workflow. 1) seamless_ai_lookup_locations for exact location spellings (a misspelt location silently returns nothing). 2) seamless_ai_search_contacts or seamless_ai_search_companies; results carry searchResultId but no emails or phones. 3) seamless_ai_research_contacts / seamless_ai_research_companies with those ids (or by identity: name plus company or domain, email, LinkedIn URL) returns requestIds. 4) Poll with seamless_ai_poll_contact_research / seamless_ai_poll_company_research every 2 to 5 seconds until each status is done. Status duplicate or contact-already-researched means it is already in your org: read it with the org tools instead of researching again. error usually means no credits or no licence for that record type.

Pagination. Searches return supplementalData.nextToken; pass it as next_token for the next page. Org lists page with page and limit (max 500) and need a start_date and end_date.

Filters. Arrays combine with OR inside one filter and AND across filters. Use the exact enum values for seniority, department, company size and revenue. Filters not exposed as parameters (job changes, past company, news, funding, last modified dates) go into extra_filters with the API's own field names.

Limits. 60 requests per minute per endpoint, shared by the whole Seamless org; a 429 means wait until X-RateLimit-Reset.

Errors. 401: wrong or revoked API key. 422 insufficientCredits: no credits left; 422 for a licence problem: the plan does not allow that record type. 429: rate limit.
