Mindbody

This connector works with the Mindbody Public API v6 (https://api.mindbodyonline.com/public/v6) for fitness studios, gyms, yoga and wellness businesses: site, locations, programs and session types, classes and class schedules, rosters and waiting lists, appointments and free slots, enrollments, clients with their passes, memberships, contracts, visits and purchases, sales, pricing options, products and staff. It books clients into classes, enrollments and appointments, updates appointments, creates and updates clients, checks clients in and adds contact logs.

Setup (10 minutes)

1. Create a developer account at https://developers.mindbodyonline.com and copy the API key of your source from the API credentials page. Until Mindbody approves the account for live sites, it works with the public sandbox site.
2. The site owner activates your source for the site: get the activation link for the site id from the developer portal (or the API's /site/activationcode) and the owner opens it while signed in to Mindbody.
3. Paste the key into MINDBODY_API_KEY and the site id (a number, shown in the business's Mindbody URL and settings) into MINDBODY_SITE_ID. The public sandbox site has the id -99.
4. Enter the user name and password of a staff member of that site into MINDBODY_USERNAME and MINDBODY_PASSWORD (use a dedicated staff login with only the permissions the AI needs). The connector exchanges them for a staff user token at /usertoken/issue and renews it automatically.
5. Run mindbody_get_locations to check the connection.

Workflow

• Site set-up: mindbody_get_sites, mindbody_get_locations, mindbody_get_programs, mindbody_get_session_types, mindbody_get_resources, mindbody_get_staff, mindbody_get_staff_session_types.
• Class timetable: mindbody_get_classes (today by default; set start_date_time and end_date_time), mindbody_get_class_descriptions, mindbody_get_class_schedules, roster with mindbody_get_class_visits, waiting lists with mindbody_get_waitlist_entries.
• Book a class: find the client (mindbody_get_clients), check a pass with mindbody_get_client_services (class_id), then mindbody_add_client_to_class; cancel with mindbody_remove_client_from_class; drop a waiting list entry with mindbody_remove_from_waitlist.
• Appointments: free slots with mindbody_get_bookable_items or mindbody_get_available_dates, then mindbody_add_appointment; booked ones with mindbody_get_staff_appointments and the staff calendar with mindbody_get_schedule_items; change, confirm, mark arrived or cancel with mindbody_update_appointment.
• Enrollments (workshops, courses): mindbody_get_enrollments, mindbody_add_client_to_enrollment.
• Clients: mindbody_get_clients, mindbody_get_client_complete_info, mindbody_get_client_visits, mindbody_get_client_schedule, mindbody_get_client_services, mindbody_get_active_client_memberships, mindbody_get_client_contracts, mindbody_get_client_purchases, mindbody_get_client_account_balances, mindbody_get_contact_logs. New client: mindbody_get_client_duplicates, mindbody_get_required_client_fields, then mindbody_add_client; change with mindbody_update_client; check in at the front desk with mindbody_add_arrival; note a call with mindbody_add_contact_log.
• Sales and catalog: mindbody_get_sales, mindbody_get_transactions, mindbody_get_services (pricing options), mindbody_get_contracts, mindbody_get_packages, mindbody_get_products.

Switched off at install: mindbody_cancel_single_class; it cannot be undone, so an admin switches it on when the team needs it.

Test mode: most writes take test: true, which validates the request and returns the result without saving. Use it when unsure.

Reading the answers

• Responses wrap the rows in a named list (Classes, Clients, Appointments, Sales, ...) next to PaginationResponse with RequestedLimit, RequestedOffset, PageSize and TotalResults. Field names are PascalCase.
• Client ids are strings (ClientId, often a number in text form, set by the business); UniqueId is Mindbody's numeric id. Class, appointment, staff, location and program ids are integers.
• Dates and times are in the site's time zone, without an offset (2026-11-20T18:00:00). Money is in the site currency, in major units.
• A class is one occurrence; its ClassDescription is the class type and its ClassScheduleId the recurring schedule.

Paging: limit (default 100, at most 200) and offset. Next page: offset + limit, until offset reaches TotalResults.

Limits and errors: Mindbody counts API calls per site and bills them beyond a free allowance (see the pricing in the developer portal), so filter by date, location or ids instead of reading everything. 401 means a wrong API key, an inactive source for the site or a rejected staff login (DeniedAccess, InvalidSiteId); 403 a staff permission missing; 400 a business rule with the reason in Error.Message (for example no pricing option, class full, outside the booking window).
